I think there's a service bulletin out about brake calipers making a lot of noise on bumpy roads. I think there's new caliper bushings involved.....

LOL. My "other" ride is a 92 full size Blazer and it has 450,000 on it.

Good Luck with your Vue. My family has 3 of them. the 04, an 03 and an 06. I like them. Reliable and fairly easy to work...

I have an 04, 4cyl., 5 speed also. It currently has 350,000 miles on it. I still drive it pretty much daily.
The biggest thing I've done to it is replace the clutch. Did it myself, Wasn't too big...

I would think it's the multi function switch. About a 35-40 dollar part at Rock Auto. Just replaced one in my daughter's 06.

Clutch Hydraulic Line Question

There is a round thing on the clutch hydraulic line connected to the master cylinder with a quick connect fitting. Anyone know what this part is or it's purpose?

Both Vue's that I have seen with Passlock issues would actually start, but only run for a second or two and then shut back off. I don't think Passlock will cause what you are seeing.

Might need weight on it to make it squeak, although a wheel bearing squeak would be a very fast squeak. The bearings I have had go bad tend to rumble more than squeak.

I lost the bulb for the gas gauge and left side of the speedo. Changed the bulb, no joy. Changed the bulb to a known tested good bulb and it STILL won't light up! Can't see any of the circuit board...

Is the check valve on the fitting at the slave cyl or at the master cyl end of the hose? Cause with the hose connected to the master, but NOT connected to the slave I get zero resistance.
