Ion Rims

What exactly does it take to get Ion rims to fit an S series. I am told the bolt pattern is the same but the hub needs opened up a bit. I need to know what to tell a machine shop if they'll fit.

My wife went out to crank our vue and it was very difficult to start. When it finally did crank the service engine soon light and it was in reduced power mode.

I pulled the following codes:...

Re: Blower Motor Crapola

The pin on the 40 pin body/ip connector in the drivers side kick panel had loosened and shorted. went around the connector and it's fine except I can't find the fan control knob. Always something.

Re: Blower Motor Crapola

Appears to be in the orange wire from the underhood fuse block to the blower. If I run a wire from the battery to this connector on the blower and connect everything else as designed it works as...

Blower Motor Crapola

A while back I started having some wierdness with the blower motor in my 02 v6 and I haven't found anything that quite describes the problem.

It began as an intermittent problem. The blower would...

Re: removing engine/trans together?

I thought the 5 speed was harder to get out from the top as a unit then the auto.

Re: Head liner - Re-Place or Re-Glue?

Well, I took mine out and took just the board to a shop to have it done. Was only 65 bucks and thats for a wagon. Sedans and coupes may be less. It was going to be around 40 bucks for the supplies...

Re: rear seat questions

Well, lets put this issue to rest once and for all. It looks like the sedan and coupe rear seatbacks are in fact the same. The wagon is different in 5 ways I can tell, however I was able to...

Re: rear seat questions

As far as the internal plastic goes you may be right but I believe the covers and foam will fit over the SW plastic supports as did the SC2 covers. Even with these I was able to simply cut a new...

Re: rear seat questions

Are you sure? I have an SW1 and it has no latch in the middle. I had some SC2 rears and the covers and foam went onto the inside plastic of my SW1 pieces without issue. The only structural...

rear seat questions

I know from experience that the rear seats of the wagons and the coupes are different in that the latch on the seatback is in a slightly different position. My question is are the rear seatbacks...

Rear Brake Adjustment Question

I replaced the leaky wheel cylinders and pads on the rear of my 95 SW1. Anyhow I put it all back together and the brakes are a bit spongy. I am pretty certain that air in the lines is not the...

Re: manual transmission questions

I gather that, but from all I gather it should work....Actually I like the idea of the shorter gears. Also from what I gather I should have the diff pin welded prior to install. What about new axle...

manual transmission questions

I need to replace the trans in my 1995 SW1 (SOHC, 5 speed). I have the trans from a DOHC car (5 speed also). Will it work without issue. Also, are there any common things I should replace or do to...

Re: Did Saturn underrate the HP of the DOHC?

I always wondered about the post 95 SOHC ones. It just always seemed odd that they produced exactly 100 h.p. I remember driving my 92 and my mothers 95 sl1's back to back and thinking it felt like...

Re: For Sohc

After looking at the dyno chart I am not sure how much fun this would be to actually drive. The stock cam seems to kill it up to like 4200. 40 fewer horsepower at 2500 doesn't seem like a small...

Re: For Sohc

I am curious, the pictures were for a DOHC, but they did list a seperate listing for DOHC, so I don't think it is a typo....Lets have the folks who know something about cams chime in. 8 horsepower...

Re: Improving a 95 SL1

I was under the impression you had to weld something to fit the rear sway bar on an SX1 car. Will the springs from an early SC work on a 95 SW1....I am interested in improving my car's handling and...

Re: HELP !! Is the dealer telling me the truth ??

Mine had this and it was the little gasket between the cat. converter and the talipipe. However your dealer seems to have ruled this out.

Re: Parting Out 02 SL1 All Parts Must GO!!!

Seems a bit steep for my budget....They are stock SL1 seats right or have you upgraded. Also, where are you at. I wouldn't mind seeing some pictures though.

WTB: Tan SL, SC1 or SW1 Front Seat Covers

I need them for a 95 so I think 91-95 SL, SW1 and maybe the SC1....I can't recall if the early ones had adjustable headrests or not. They need to be tan and in good shape. These covers held up...
