Another thought, possibly a Hvac fan resistor card. Havnt seen too many control heads, but it does happen.

I have seen that before on both 4 and 2 door models. You most likely have 1 of 2 problems. 1st , if you remove the inner door panel ( pretty stright forward removal) there is a 10mm bold on the left...

Staking material i was speaking of.... the metal thats around the door of cylinder. The S car tool thats works with the vues and L cars does not work on the ion. Its like there is too big of a gap...

As SattyLite posted, most likely whats your up against. They are not fun to do, as you need to remove the carpet, and center console. I remove the BCM as it gives you a little more room to work...

I think your gunnabe out of luck. I know on the VTI ( did 2 this week), you need to remove the shaft from the intermediate to the hub. Then the half from the part bolted to the motor to the trans....

Sounds to be typical BCM issuses, i would start there, however, you will not be able to program it(need a serivce stall). Also the Key Fobs will need to be reprogrammed. Like stated above, look into...

The new gasket comes with the filter if you buy it at the dealer.Def change it, ive had them leak if not replaced.
