youtube the video on how to replace it. its simple and you probably have the tools to do it. if you dont have the tools, a cheap socket set from harbor freight will do the job

2001 sw2, the fan turns on at 220+-. so it could take a while at 30degrees sitting at idle, your temp gauge looks about right

i have seen a darn lot worse. not bad. the black areas tell me that you are running rich at times. do you do a lot of stop and go? If so get it on the highway and run the bejeesus out of it.
