Re: Find out about GM and government assistance

Despite the fact that the automakers' troubles are partly, not completely, self-inflicted, I am in favor of the loans. I am not sure it will be anything more than a stop gap, but sometimes just...

Re: Father of Saturn Dies at age 82

Maybe you are thinking of Richard G. "Skip" LeFauve, former president of Saturn Corporation? He died in 2003:

Re: Some Saturn Dream Cars....

I'm planning to get new tires before next winter, mostly because the OEM tires are 5+ years old, but probably not new wheels.

The suspension setup is pretty soft on this car so it probably will...

Re: Some Saturn Dream Cars....

Yuck. The Legacy Wagon is classy. The Outback is the original faux SUV.
Crocodile Dundee was the perfect spokesperson for that tacky thing (I am on record for not liking cladding on older Pontiacs,...

Re: Some Saturn Dream Cars....

My father-in-law, a retired police officer (i.e. not rich), got a new 2007 Camry (his first car not from the old Big Three), and gave me his 2002 Buick Century.

It is a big change from driving my...

Re: Some Saturn Dream Cars....

Sorry about the duplicate post!

Before posting it I tried to do a simple forum search to see if it had already been posted. (I would have searched longer if I had noticed the date it was posted on...

Re: '95 and older SW prices (I gave away my 93 SW2)

How does FREE sound? I am giving my blue green wagon to my high school age nephew tomorrow. It will be his first car.

My SW2 is a 1993 (first year they were made), it has ABS and traction...

Re: Why is this website always down with maintance?

I am sorry that your subjective impression of Saturnfans service does not match my subjective impression. Maybe J.D. Power will start an Internet service measurement division and provide us with some...

Re: Why is this website always down with maintance?

Do you mean maintenance?

As a longtime member of this board and also someone who has worked with computers since the 1970s, my overall impression is that the reliability availability and service...

Re: Astra Rear Window Blindspot

Sorry, but I hate the C pillar design also, which is why I would not buy the Mazda3 or the Astra as shown here.

I know how to set my mirrors correctly to give a continuous view. Swiveling my head...

Re: Saturn Astra

If Saturn does the Astra right then it will very likely change my mind about my next car being a Scion. Scions are reliable, fun to drive, high value - and sell for a fixed, no-haggle price. If you...

Swapping badges? Like on the Relay, Outlook, and several announced Saturn/Opels? I don't mean to get personal, but I think the argument can be made that badge engineering is alive at Saturn. As for...

Re: Let me open this can of worms....

My stepfather drove an American (sold by Buick IIRC) Opel Kadette back around 1970 until he rolled the piece of junk. I would not hold that against any Saturn/Opel of 2007+, though. Nearly all cars...

Whatever happened to... Bob Lutz

I'm no fan of the "one man savior" school of business, but Lutz provides GM with a bit of help on the "vision thing". Interesting article from Reuters:

Re: "aura-esque" wagon; anyone else excited?

Anyone comparing the LW with any future wagon offered by Saturn should remember that gas costs about twice what it did in the US when the LW was launched.

I would like to see two Saturn wagons...
