Re: SC1 conversion to an SC2

I guess by "tired" I mean just more squeeks and rattles, ect.
The entire exhaust has been welded back together 3x, and the shop down the road says that it can't be fixed again...

I'm a long-haul...

Re: ODOM light isn't lighting up

That's an easy fix, although it's a PITA to do it.
You have to remove the dash pad, (2 screws above the glovebox) the the instrument cluster and replace the bulb for the odometer. It's the same...

Re: SC1 conversion to an SC2

Glad I found an old thread that I could add to!

My '01 SC2 is, shall we say, "tired." It has 270,000km on it and it's just in general ready to retire. The engine only has about 160,000km on it,...

Rock Auto Discount Code Needed

Hello, everyone!

I'm getting ready to do a complete brake job on my SC2. Rock Auto has all the parts I need, but I wouldn't mind paying a little less.
If anyone has a discount code they don't...

Been reading posts about P0404 codes...

Hello, everyone!

I currently am dealing with a P0404 code on my '01 SC2.
This has been going on for about 2 months, but since the car is only driven once a week, that's not as long as it...

Re: Adding rear disc brakes, once and for all...True or False?

Thanks to everyone for all the feedback!
Do I NEED rear disc brakes...Not really. Do I WANT them? You bet!
I have a nice set of wheels on my car and those ugly, rusty brake drums just look like...

Adding rear disc brakes, once and for all...True or False?

It seems to me that I have read in these forums that if you can find an S-car with functioning or rebuild-able rear calipers and the related hardware you can convert an S-car with rear drum brakes...

Re: What causes high HC and high CO?

My first guess (and cheapest fix) would be the ECTS. Anyone who regularly reads Saturn Fans would know that this little $10 sensor seems to be the root of just about all evil in these cars. If the...

Re: DRL question regarding HID's, help please.

Greetings from east of you in the City of Kawartha Lakes!

Richpin has a video in the self-help video section on how to disable DRL's for "testing purposes." You have to pull the DRL relay out of...

Question Vent visors for a 2009 5-door?

Anyone know where I can get a set of Vent Visors for my wife's '09 Astra XR 5-door?
I have them on my '01 SC2, and I love them. The wife is jealous and wants her own! I've checked eBay, and some of...

Re: Review: Rebuilt sunroof module & how-to

Jeff, your module swap looks really good, I don't think you'll have any trouble selling them here!

In my case I have a 2001 SC2, and my sunroof has never worked since I bought the car 3 years ago....

Is there a similar procedure for replacing a broken bolt in the rear with drum brakes? I snapped one off this spring when I was changing from winter to summer tires.

That happened to me last year. The DRL relay in the under hood fuse box failed. I replaced it and all was well.

Re: PLEASE HELP ME!!!! Possibly buying this car in a week, test driving tomorrow.

142K is barely broken in, so like others have said I would go for it.

The minor things that are wrong with the car are easily fixed, and there are plenty of parts available.

My '01 SC2 now has...

Re: Is it possible to install a used BCM and the car work fine?

I'm no expert on this matter, but it seems to me that any form of odometer tampering, whether it be by turning back an analog or "reprogramming" a digital would be a serious crime with serious...

Re: E85 Conversion on the Saturn 1999 SL2

Check out the link in madpogue's post near the beginning of this thread. Tom Melms, the owner of Badger Cab in Madison, WI (my hometown) is pretty frank about the price of propane. He says that there...
