Re: Engine Stutter Between 3500-4000 rpm

When was the last time you changed your spark plugs? You could be seeing the early signs of a bad coilpack.

Re: Side mirrors

I'm glad I'm not the only one to have this happen. I found my passenger mirror shattered into tiny pieces by the front tire of my wife's car. Luckily, I was able to clean it up before she left for...

Re: Bunch of stuff for sale

If the Mats and Screens are available, I 'd be interested. How much would shipping be to PA?

Re: Goodyear Assurance Fuel Max tires

I've never been a huge fan of Goodyear tires. I'm due for a new set now that I'm at 50,000 miles. I'll probably replace the LS2's with a set of Michelins or Dunlops, whichever is a better deal at...

Re: Two years

I'm at 4 years and coming up on 50,000 miles this week. I'll do the 50,000 mile service this weekend.

The only problems I have had so far is the Valve solenoid screen cleaning and replacement...

Re: Tranny isues?

You definitely blew the Clutch up. I'd have someone run a compression check to see if you damaged the valve train, or worse, bent a rod.

Re: Traded in

I agree with your assessment. The HHR, The Cobalt, and the Ion were truly miserable cars. The Ion especially. I remember taking my grandmother out to by her last car, and test drove all of the...

Re: Ignition Coil and use Panel

Have you been changing your spark plugs every 25,000 miles, as recommended in the owner's manual?

It seems that every person that is complaining of a bad coil pack has not followed this...

I had it for a while, until it did eventually throw a code.

Re: Engine lack of power with DTCs P0011, P0014, P000A, P000B, P0012, P0015 or engine

I had mine into the dealer about a month ago, and the Service writer tried to upsell the throttle body and fuel injector cleaning for $200.00.

I told him thanks, but no thanks. I can run some...

Re: Brake job

The rear Brake pads are a more aggressive compound than the fronts. If you look at previous posts, there are several references to the rear pads and rotors wearing out faster than the fronts.

Re: Brake job

The rotors may still be in spec, and you can have them milled. I'd have to check my Hanes manual to find the specs for you.

You may find that the brake pads on the front axle and rear axle have...

Re: Brake job

$200.00 is not that bad for all for corners. That's $100.00 per axle.
I have have spent more for just the fronts on my old Subaru.

Re: Autolite Extreme Iridium vs. NGK Laser Iridium

The manual calls for standard copper plugs to be changed every 25,000 miles. Why would you want to waste your money?

Re: Engine lack of power with DTCs P0011, P0014, P000A, P000B, P0012, P0015 or engine

My car was doing that before I took it into the dealer. It would feel like it was about to stumble and had hesitant acceleration after clutching out.

Now that they made the fix, my car feels...

In Pennsylvania, Counties that do...
