Re: Hi there from Scotland

Exactly. The EOS is quite the popular car around Boston after the Mini.

Re: Great News

I'll take the Opel Astra version over the Buick Excelle version without a doubt. I like the look of the front and rear clips over that massive Buick grille any day.

Re: My Astra VXR

And there you have it! I agree with you completely on that comment too. The ONE major issue Saturn had after the initial launch. I still get the same questions about my Sky after nearly 3 years of...

Re: 2010 sky redline

I agree, not good but as has been discussed multiple times over, there were many reasons for it. The Astra platform really, given the chance here, could have put Saturn in a very good position. If...

Re: Hi there from Scotland

Beautiful! Sure wished GM would have brought those here. Absolutely one of the most versatile platforms GM has.

Re: 2010 sky redline

I don't know. If you look at the number of Astras built and sold worldwide, I'd hardly call it a low volume vehicle. I think to date they have sold 10 million since introduction about 8 years ago? I...

Re: 2010 sky redline

Well if the Euro vs US $ didn't fall off the cliff, the base Astra would have come in less than the Ion. And having owned an Ion, I can honestly say, the Astra is a far better car so far in my...

Re: 2010 sky redline

Yes, Saturn planned on the 2010 model year with minimal changes to meet 2010 safety standards, some new colors and I'm not sure if there were going to be special editions like 2009.

The Skys...

Re: My Astra VXR

Unfortunately, no Astra Red Line exists so good luck finding one unless someone imports a VXR/OPC Astra and does some type of badge conversion.

As far as underpowered, its on the low end market...

Re: My Astra VXR

SR, actually if Saturn had been kept, I think the Astra would have stayed IF the car was marketed better which was generally the case regarding Saturn. With the current trend of small cars coming...

Re: My Astra VXR

I know. I kept on my sales guy being he was originally from UK on getting one imported. If ONLY Saturn was kept maybe it could have been the next in the Red Line series. Still would love to have one.

Re: Editorial: Saturn Fell Prey to GM, UAW Bungling

So sad at how TRUE this is. And some wonder WHY some Saturn loyalists like myself more than likely will not purchase another GM product in the future.

Why support self destruction...

Re: How true this is

Mr Ingrassia got this one right on. For any of those that don't know the behind the scenes stuff, this article brings to light some of that, also noted by Jack O'Toole in his book.

And I have to...

Thumbs Up Re: Spoiler Pics

Would love to get one. It would require a change to the antenna correct? PM me with details when you get a chance.

Thanks!

Re: No more Astras

I would say there are more coupes since about 1300 were produced before the line shut down. I don't recall the exact number stated on the Solstice forum.

Re: No more Astras

And if you dig a little further into the red one @ Saturn Southeast, you'll see it is listed as a USED vehicle even though it is a 2009. It has 13,000+ miles on it and I would imagine this was a GM...

Re: No more Astras

Did a quick search on Cars.com. A few 2009's listed. If you check the VIN, you'll see these are 2009s.

Re: Flashback Friday: Saturn Introduces the SW Wagon

LOVED my little SW2. And yes, you could pack it with lots of stuff! Was amazed how much I could fit in that little car.

Charlie, glad to see the Flashback Friday entry again too!

Re: GM Frustrates Saturn Retailers, Puts them in a Competitive Bind

GM really does have it's head in the sand. I agree that its time for GM to pay the piper for all of its past mistakes.

Good luck Saturn.. Let's rebuild the brand the way Roger Smith intended.....

Re: It Is Official: Penske to Buy Saturn, Transform it Into a Larger Global Brand

And what's wrong with the Astra? Considering the equipment and features, the vehicle is priced right. Price out a Volvo C30 with the same type of options and you're looking nearly 40 grand!

And as...

Re: astra polish?

+2 on the Meguiars. I used their 3 step system of paint cleaner, polish and carnuaba wax. It is a lot of "elbow" grease with the first two steps but the results are worth it. I just did it over...
