Re: Walker Muffler Fail

dhcp, if Walker guarantees a lifetime muffler then it's just a matter of paperwork between you and Amazon as the seller since you bought it from Amazon. If you send Walker your damaged muffler, they...

Re: MAP sensor question

You might have the best of two methods if this idea works for you - wire a switch inline to one wire on the sensor. Switch it on or off. This should give you the best of both situations, off when...

Re: 99 SL click, no start

Yes and no. Booster cables, if not heavy duty types of 6, 4 or 2 gauge, may need connections without starting for a minute or more as thin gauge/cheap booster cables won't provide a lot of amperage...

Re: 99 SL click, no start

Crank sensors operate only when the engine turns over so no engine turn over, no crank sensor operation. In other words, the crank sensor only outputs signals when the crankshaft rotates at starter...

Re: 3.5 Vue with conflicting codes

If not close to state emissions inspection, you can try resetting these error codes and see if one or both return. In the meantime the two links (below) may help.

Here are the two error codes as...

Re: EVAP purge delete 08 Astra H XE

Short answer - yes. Attempting to delete emission functions simply meddles with programmed diagnostics intended to run as part of mandated emissions control. Anyone attempting to circumvent any...

Re: 98 SL2 serious noise/vibration issue, now with video!

That's the reason for asking. No presumptions made while leaving it up to sedativechunk to examine motor mounts and other suggestions.

Loose exhaust heat shields? Exhaust system touching chassis...

Re: 98 SL2 serious noise/vibration issue, now with video!

Worn upper motor mount (TAM)? Search for threads and how to examine it. One quick method would be someone revving the engine while you look at the engine moving in its mounts.

Re: Replaced intake manifold; just one problem now

If you insist on using scan tools or readers while not familiar with them, you're likely to become lost 'trying to find the forest among the trees '. There's really no need for super sophisticated...

Re: Transmission Control Module (TCM) Replacement

While plug n' play modules is one method of repair, without proof of failure may result in an expensive experiment in diy repairs. The overwhelming conservative approach has always been to check...

Re: 2000 SL2 Crank, No Start. Already did "All the things"

Spark means the crank sensor is working.

Since the engine won't run at all, exhaust blockage can be easily tested by just leaving the front O2 sensor off. The alternate exhaust hole allows...

Re: '99 SC2 intermittent no start - CPS? Advice needed.

Its above and behind the starter so its not going to be a picnic removing and replacing it (one 10mm bolt). If you can, do the easy checks first as suggested previously. Even better if the engine...

Re: '99 SC2 intermittent no start - CPS? Advice needed.

P1599 points to the crank sensor. The problem is proving a faulty one. On one hand your engine runs when it does (crank sensor operating) and on the other hand it doesn't (possible intermittent...
