The connector is a squeeze and pull type. You shouldnít pry on it.
If you have access to a scan tool just read the temperature reading. It should close to ambient.

If the car has a sunroof also check that the drain tube grommets have not come out from the trunk wall leaving the tubes to drain into the trunk.

...or drop the cradle and struts onto a dolly. Then lift the body enough clear rolling the whole thing through a wheel arch. Easy access to everything then.

At a guess, you are not pushing the connector on far enough to latch.
Check the alternator plug plastic for flashing or raised areas.
QC isnít what it used to be.

Get the battery and alternator tested before you go down a rabbit hole of testing. Low or dirty bus voltage can cause many spurious codes.

You could go for the Kubelwagen look.
FWIW, Fiero convertible conversions have a longitudinal X member welded behind the seats to keep the space frame from settling.

No. You would need to modify the cars wiring and connector.
Your car should have the three wire horn. The local junk yard or ebay are your best bets if you want a drop in part.
