i don't know about the other topics of convo on it, but can offer my experience. i used it on my Aura and Outlook and can say i was simply floored by how long it lasted. way past the "up to 6 months"...

don't believe everything you see on the internet. the "chips" you found are gimmicks at worst, and at best they'll do little to nothing for your car - nowhere near as effective as an ECM/TCM tune....

Glad I found this thread. Our wipers started acting funny this year and are now plain failing, and we've had the "under heavy snow & ice loads" recall done on it already. Sounds like this nut issue...

i actually don't have it hard-wired. just a good job of running wires. doing this, however, is very easy. i'm sure there's a write up on it elsewhere.
