Re: Slipping transmission after replacing solenoid what did I do ?

Are you hard of hearing and never observed the tachometer showing engine rpm? In Neanderthal days, the speedometer was the only gauge that was needed whether auto or manual. Most cars with manuals...

Re: 2002 AC compressor question

Re: 2002 AC compressor question

^ You are mistaken. Saturn uses variable displacement compressors. Search past threads for reprints I posted from GM service manuals. If interested, look in my photo album of a disassembled VDC...

Re: Need help with an 02 6cly. No power to the fuel pump.

Did you try the A-z f/p gauge on your car or not? It won't hurt to try as it will either screw on or not.

The fuel test valve is a schrader type, similar to tire valves and use the same valve...

Re: 2002 AC compressor question

DO NOT ADJUST IT!? No one ever thought these compressors would last beyond new car warranties. The large plug is also an adjustment, factory done and has a paper seal warning against...

Re: Rear suspension bolts

Ok then but aren't you putting the cart before the horse? The snapshot of a thoroughly rusted suspension nut and bolt is already in need of removal and replacement. I'm not sure electrical processes...

Re: Need help with an 02 6cly. No power to the fuel pump.

Several easy tests can be performed in the driveway to check on fuel pump operation.

1-Turn on ignition with windows rolled up, radio off and listen for the faint hum/hiss sounds of the fuel pump...

Re: 98 SC2 no crank, no start

I tried replying but somehow my reply was lost. COVID-19 attacking at random? :dizzy: :upset:

Re: Rear suspension bolts

I bought caliper mounting bolts in the correct grade from one of the two fastener places. They have graded bolts for strength. I presume they have graded nuts to match. I wouldn't put a link to them...

Re: Rear suspension bolts

Re: Rear suspension bolts

Unless someone can point to GM parts online still stocking parts usable on other vehicles, you're left to scrounge junk yards and eBay. Most suspension hardware are heavily plated against corrosion...

Re: 98 SC2 no crank, no start

The RKE module works with the remote to disable the starting circuit. The previous owner bypassed this rke module by jumpering the relay under the steering column, pins 30 an 87, to allow the...

Re: 2000 Saturn LW2, the wagon with the V-6, shows many error codes

If your state requires an emissions inspection, the check engine light remaining on usually means your car fails inspection. If an inspection station plugs into the OBD II port, they see the same...

Re: 98 SC2 no crank, no start

Re: 98 SC2 no crank, no start

If fuses are ok, next steps are trying a start with shifter in Neutral position. If no starting occurs (starter engages and cranks the engine), you may have to jack up the car for access to the...
