Re: '06 Vue vs. '06 Ford Escape - your thoughts?

I own a 2004 Vue 4 cylinder, front wheel drive with 5 speed manual that my wife drives. I drive it occasionally, but not a lot. I do enjoy driving it, but it seems to have a lot of rattles, wind...

Re: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A Tires

You'll love the BFG AT KO's in the snow. They are the best snow tire that I have ever had. I have the limited-slip rear diff in my Dodge--that combined with my BFG's make it so that I almost never...

Re: BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A Tires

I am currently using the same tire in 285/70/17 (33") on my 2005 Dodge Ram 4X4. They are a little louder than highway tread tires, but an excellent compromise between on and off-road performance and...

Re: VUE crash and a few Qs

Obviously, you haven't been dealing with Progressive. I am an adjuster for Progressive and we will look at ANY vehicle within 48 hours from the time a claim in reported--if we don't make the 48 hour...

Re: All the problems with my 2003...anyone else?

My wife's Vue is a 2004 2.2 cyl 5 speed that was purchased in April of last year. Here is a list of issues that it has been in to the shop for.

1) Both black roof rails began to crack and...

Re: 2006 VUE Spied!

I like the current front clip better than this new style, but I am not going to say this design is horrible. To me, the current Vue has a little of a "euro" look to it, while this definately looks...

Re: 06VUE Picture and information (finally)

I reallly like the looks of the new Vue. I may even trade my '04 in for one of those when they hit the lot. My wife loves everything about the Vue, but right now we have a 4 banger w/ the 5 spd. ...

Re: Photoshop VUE-PU pick-up

GM has been there and done that. They made polymer beds an option for awhile when the new Silverados and Sierras came out and it flopped so they discontinued the option. I looked at one and thought...

Re: Windshield

I had the windsheild replaced in our Vue after an errant rock put a nice crack across it. The first replacement was an aftermarket unit and it never looked right--there was definate distortion in...

Re: Strange Windshield Problem

I got my Vue back with its new windshield and I am very pleased. The new windshield is genuine GM and much better than the previous one. Kudos to Fas-Break for standing behind their work!

Re: Strange Windshield Problem

Fas-Break came and looked at my windshield and agreed that there is distortion in the glass and they are going to replace it. Hopefully the new windshield will be better.

Strange Windshield Problem

I had to get a new windsheild for my Vue after getting a crack from a thrown stone from the road. I contacted Fas-Break and had the windshield replaced. This is all normal except for one problem...

Re: tsbs

The Cheyenne, Wyoming dealership must be cut from the same mold as your Colorado dealers. I loved the purchase experience there, but the service department leaves a lot to be desired.

Re: Time For A Test...

My 2004 2.2 manual tranny Vue averages just a hair under 25 mpg. The best milage I have ever recorded for a complete tank was 28.6 mpg.

This is normally a 50/50 mix of highway and city driving.

Re: Cruise Control tid-bit

Every cruise control I have ever used behaved in this manner. I though that was standard for every vehicle on the market.

Re: Valve Clatter???

I have tried numerous times with all different types of machines. The best efficiency and performance comes when you are running the lowest octane you can run without causing preignition.

Re: Valve Clatter???

In actuality, premium should yield less MPG than a cheaper gas. The higher octane fuels prevent knocking by being less volatile and having a higher flashpoint. The "knocking" or "pinging" that...

Re: Valve Clatter???

My '04 2.2 also has considerable valve train noise when I use cheap grade gas, but with anything over 89 octane she's real nice and quiet.

I bought the Vue to drive, and I've tapped the rev limiter on a couple occassions. I rev it out into the 5500-6000 rpm range fairly regularly. Change your oil often and you won't have any problems.
