Re: Would something like this work?

I was just looking into why this site might be doing so bad and I also noticed the outated version of vbulletin. 3 and 4 have both reached EOL. Maybe charlie doesn't wan't to (or can't afford to) to...

Re: Spam on the tech thread

I was thinking of spending some time arching as much as possible on www.archive.org. the only problem with that is it can only archive an a guest. So no photos would be saved. Plus it would just be...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

I think that a 94 PCM will also work in a 95, as long as the 94 PCM came from a car with Cali emissions.

Re: New Fuel Pump for a 97

There was a factory service bulletin on the 97 pumps. Iím pretty sure it only extended the warranty on the fuel pumps though, which are now long expired anyway.

Does anyone know if there is a...

Re: New Fuel Pump for a 97

It does, and I do wait for the fuel pump to prime before starting. My remote starter doesn't wait long enough though so it will sometimes struggle to start.

I had a feeling I would have this...

New Fuel Pump for a 97

I want to finally replace the fuel pump in my 97. Are the any brands I should stay away from? Spectra Premium seems to be the most bought in RockAuto, but it has bad reviews on amazon. Is Carter...

Re: buying orginal 1996 SL2 passenger motor mount and dogbone.

You can try the junkyard. Thereís a way to test if a mount is good or not with a pen. The after market mounts look pretty much identical to the OE ones though so youíd probably be better off just...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I use the storage pocket in the center console a lot but without the dome light on, its hard to see what is in it at night. I thought that there might be a way to add a light like the cup holders...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I looked everywhere I could think of. The only place to get them now seems to be the junkyard or eBay. Maybe a local GM parts warehouse if youíre lucky. Youíd need the part number for that though

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I finally found a rubber floor mat at the junkyard earlier this morning. It was from a 95, so I wasnít sure if it would fit but it ended up being the same shape as the one I have now. There was also...

Re: Electric Saturn

Maybe that linkage has to do with the clutch? It is still technically a manual, but the clutch pedal is missing

I have seen what youíre talking about on other cars before though and it does look a...

Re: buying orginal 1996 SL2 passenger motor mount and dogbone.

Unless someone finds another batch of OE passenger side mounts, they are gone forever. Iíve heard Westar or DEA to be at least a decent replacement. I personally have no experience with either...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I was just looking at control arms on rock auto and the Mevotech arm listed doesnít even claim to be grease-able. Looking at the pics there is no spot for the zerk fitting either. Maybe itís a...

Electric Saturn

I've seen a few electric S-Series pop up on Craigslist now. This one just seems really well done.

I don't think either of mine had the fitting on yet iirc. It would be interesting to hear though if your new control arm works or not.

Re: Transmission Question - Racing

You can swap manual to auto, you'd need at least the wiring, a way to cool it, an auto PCM, and an auto trans from the same year. (There might be exceptions to what years you can use but I'm not...

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

I put in the same pair of control arms last July and have the same exact problem as you. The drivers side control arm wouldn't take any grease. I even bought second one and that one didn't take...
