Early 2 strokes used a..bottom end oil system..

Remember - the early oils did not have as good of lubricating properties as oils today.

The early 2 strokes burned way more oil than modern...

As far as rings - I no longer have free access to SPX (used to work for a subsidary) - so I have been using Hastings. The price is good - $10 a hole. American made. Have gotten good compression each...

The don't HAVE to have rounded ends.

My favorite is backstraps oven baked in a covered glass dish in sweet red wine, garlic, onion and black pepoer. 3-4 hours at 350f.

Cut with fork.
