I pulled this transmission out of a 94' SL2 back around 2003 or so. That car had about 80k on it when I took it out and was probably original. It sat long enough that I would not consider dropping...

FS: Saturn drink coozie

Hi guys,

Years ago I took a tour of the Spring Hill plant and they gave us some promotional items, one of which was a bright yellow drink coozie with the Saturn logo on it.

I've never used it...

Re: 94 saturn no cruise control checked fuse, trans?

Look upwards under the dashboard where the gas/brake pedals are. The metal arm the brake pedal is on goes up under the dashboard. Along this arm there is a metal tab that sticks out and pushes in...

Re: 94 saturn no cruise control checked fuse, trans?

I have had several S-series and they all had had the same problem where the switch that is bolted to the brake pedal (disengages the cruise when the brakes are tapped) did not have enough pressure on...

Re: Diagnosing poor compression on 95SL2

No smoke out the tailpipe, he drove it 12 miles like that, ran good over 3-4krpm just the the other person mentioned, all the plugs were wet since it was probably running open loop. 207k on the...

Diagnosing poor compression on 95SL2

I got a call the other day from a guy who has a 95' SL2 that he has been driving for probably two years. He was accelerating to pass someone and all of a sudden the engine changed sound and vibrated...

Re: Wanting to Buy: ANY 91 SC Parts!!

I've got a drivers seat from a 94' SC2. It's probably not the same pattern (I have the black with that red/blue checkerboard in the middle) but the black bolsters need to be fixed.

I figured...

FS: misc. 94' SL2 parts (airbox, AC evaporator, etc.)

I've got a few parts here from the 94' SL2 that I don't have anymore. I'd rather see find a home other than mine. Most parts are in great shape seeing as how the car had about 82k on it when it was...

Differences in 92 and 93 DOHC Auto tranny?

I've seen a 92' SC2 locally for sale that needs some transmission work. I have a 94' MP7 sitting in my garage but they are not techincally interchangable. Does anyone know what differences there...

Re: r12 wtb

Actually, all you need is an EPA section 609 ceritification. You can take the test online and they will send you a card, or at least that's how used to be. Cost me about $25.

I can go into Napa...

Re: whistleing sound from engine

I had a 94' SL2 that whistled....I think it was due to the alternator. It ran fine when I sold it, but it always whistled. My 94' SC2 did not do that, and the only difference was the SC2 had a...

Re: "oh Crap !"

My friend and his wife had a diff pin fall out on his 97 SL2 when it had between 30-60k on it, and they don't abuse the car at all. Tore the case apart.

Wheel hop also breaks transmission...

Re: Guaging Interest: Wrecked '97 SL2 w/ 35k miles IL

Remember what I said about the online auctions :-) . Gas just jumped $0.10 here in the last week, so a fuel effiicient Saturn parts car becomes more valuable. I'm sure someone who has an account...

Re: Guaging Interest: Wrecked '97 SL2 w/ 35k miles IL

If you are an Ebay user with an account, you can do a search for "completed" auctions to see what similar cars sold for. Any junkyard here would charge $500-800 for this motor alone. There are...

Spring Cleaning, misc. 94' SL2 parts

Below is a list of the things I'm tired of tripping over in the garage. Unless noted, everything is off a 94' SL2. I can not ship, the door, tranny, or headliner due to their size/weight.

You...

Re: '93 SC2 cheap- for project or parts

I think the point is to enable us to eliminate a commercial seller like a salvage yard from profiting...parting a car takes time, so if you make a few bucks, that's great. I sell my stuff well below...

Does the car come to a stop...and a few seconds later it dies or are the stopping and dying happening at the same time?

The 95' and newer cars have an electronic EGR valve which can cause similar...
