Re: Saying So Long to my Astra

I also got a pathetic trade value for my Astra but I took it due to the fact I had a feeling it was due for a substantial amount of work in the near future. $1,800 for a car with about 110,000 miles...

Re: This should be my last week with the Astra

Just over 100,000 miles. Went to do a brake job on it this weekend and realized how long it took to get my hand on something as simple as calipers. Ended up buying refurbished parts for the sake of...

Re: Bad coilpack, VERY expensive part

I am assuming you are trying to say that the interior of the coil packs do not "go bad", if I am misunderstanding you please correct me. However there are a variety of things that can go wrong on...

Re: Bad coilpack, VERY expensive part

LOL @ installation. They take off the plastic piece on the engine, loosen 2 screws, lift up the coil pack, replace it with the new one, tighten the 2 screws and put the plastic piece back on.

So went to start the car yesterday morning and all I got was the clicking noise. The BC was working so I figured it was the battery. Looks like the alternator wasn't available at parts stores...

Re: Buick to get version of Astra GTC

Re: Power steering AND temperature on BC went out

Thanks man. I am thinking it might have been a temporary electrical glitch too. Since I am at 76K miles right now I am going to change the timing belt this weekend.
