Re: Where did my coolant disappear to?

Usually it sprays out the crack in the radiator (http://www.saturnfans.com/forums/showthread.php?t=163429) near one of the auto-transmission cooler ports. If it's high enough on the radiator you...

Random tow-behind stuff installed and no mention of it in the OP?

Re: Anyone actually used 0W20 Synthetic in their S-Series?

The S-Series motor isn't built with tolerances close enough to need the super lightweight oil so all that will happen is more oil burning, more contamination of the oil control rings and even more...

Re: 2001 SL2 repeatedly blows fuse but only at >60 mph.....

The on/off circuit for the fog lights also utilizes the park fuse.
I believe the main harness runs through the front driver side wheel well, between the engine bay and interior rather than through...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

If you're in the junkyard and bring a sledge hammer with you to relocate the brake master cylinder out of the way, hopefully on a non-abs car so it's smaller than Jupiter to start with and is more...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

The only change in the axles were '91-'93 non-ABS require a special hub; all the rest are interchangeable (though...ABS won't work without the reluctor ring on the hub end of the axle lol)

Re: 94 SL2 Automatic Transmission Reverse SLAM

Might still come with the install tool and the required socket (there's another listing sans socket for $10 less)....

Re: Are there any S-Series that have the GM L81 3.0L V6 Engine?

I believe there is exactly 1 S-Series with a V6 and there's nothing factory about it lol

If you find anything other than a 1.9L I4 under the hood it wasn't factory installed.

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

Leave all "random" large gauge yellow wires alone, they have a high likely hood to be for the air bag system, or at the very least is simply a switched +12v source.

Go back to post #2 with the...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

If you don't put a fuse in the NSS connector on the auto harness OR extend it from the NSS to the proper CSS location including the CSS itself it won't start.

It's hidden fairly well on the...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

There's a switch at the bottom of the pedal travel, likely hidden in the dark. On the auto car you wire it into that connector instead of the fuse.

The CC switch is at the top of the pedal travel,...

Re: Local Saturn guy

The engine is 100% unique to the S-Series.
Waste Spark ignition systems are fairly common, especially in GM's.
Every other brand I've found splurged on putting an actual camshaft position sensor...

Re: Anti-Lock light and cigarette lighter

I'd start with ebay for the owners manual: https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_nkw=1993%20Saturn%20owners%20manual

If you need a repair manual and can't afford AlldataDIY or some other FSM source I'd...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

The clutch and brake pedal's are individually sandwiched in the under-dash framework and rotate on custom bolts. I recommend using a right-angle power tool as there's only room to swing a normal hand...

Re: Automatic to manual in a 95 DOHC

I never bothered with buying a new PCM from any of the scammers, they came pretty cheap in the various rotted out parts cars I'd get. Plug & play too, but I only worked with '93-'97's.

Re: 2000 saturn sw2 cooling fan issues

I don't remember which connector is which but the 1-wire sender only has 1 pin connected so if you put a DMM in "are these pins connected" mode it won't make the buzzing if you bought the wrong...

Re: Saturn MP Trans Identification

1st number = year. X = 1999, S = 1995
2-4th numbers = model. MP2 = SOHC/manual, MP3 = DOHC/manual, MP6 = SOHC/anchor, MP7= DOHC/anchor
5th = plant code, if it has an "A" it got a special audit...

Re: Son's 98 SL2

This is one of the things where it'd be a great help to have a higher level scan tool that can show you the actual misfire counters. A quick check of the wires should be easy during the overnight...

Re: gas tank removal

1) Hope the tank isn't more than 1/4 full
2) Jack it sky high (3ft, maybe 4ft to the bottom of the rear bumper)
3) Take the 2 fuel filler hose's off (siphon gas out now if it's full)
4) Take the 2...

Re: fuse box on 2001 SC2

To disable the DRL's pull the DRL relay, fold over 87a. Temporarily turn them off via the auto-drift handle, 1st click.

Parking lights should be their own fuse in the UHJB "Park", a 10a fuse.

Re: Windshield washer pump not spraying

Measuring across the pins won't tell you which circuit has the issue, just that there is an issue. Measure from the battery, use the (+) terminal to check the ground pin and the (-) terminal to check...
