Looking at L200 - what should I look for?

Its been a long time since I've owned a Saturn - I sold my trusty '95 SL2 after I graduated college and bought an '08 HHR SS back in 2008. I still miss the car. The HHR SS was traded in for a minivan...

Re: Who has put seats from another car in an SL?

Why don't you find a leather seat from an SL2, they have lumbar support, a lot more padding and are a lot more comfortable than the SL (single-cam) seats.

We Americans like our morning coffee, energy drinks, and caffeinated beverages while driving :)

Re: Interior upgrades

If the plastic where the metal clips attach to are broken, you'll just need a new trim piece.

I prefer to use a large screw driver to pry parts off, feeling for where it latches onto first.

Re: There was no 2.0 litre SL2s right???

It could've been an Ecotec 2.2L off of a Saturn L series or ION, which isn't compatible.

People have also overbored the 1.9L motor to 2.0L

Re: Front end swap?

Someone should try to acquire a 95 SC2 and SL2 and swap the front end over.

Re: Interior upgrades

Front seats will bolt right up, I'm not sure of the back seats. You might be able to get 97+ Coupe back seats into your 96.

Thanks for the replies guys, I decided not to paint the pocket, mainly because I was too lazy :D.

Re: Dash swap?

From what my friend told me (ArghIgiveUp) the mounting, bolt patterns and welds are the same. However, the gauge clusters and everything are different and require a lot of modification to the wiring....

Interior upgrades

Well last week I managed to pickup a full set of black leather seats for my car. The seats were from a '94 SC2 so I lost the rear middle seat, but gained rear cupholders, so not much of a loss back...
