Re: Will Your Next New Car be a General Motors Vehicle?

It will be a Scion TC. GM, never again, there is no doubt about this for me.

Re: If Saturn as you know of today was gone, what would be your brand of choice?

Scion , but I am hopefull that Saturn will survive and improve, if not, I will go foreign... remember.. thats why GM created Saturn to get buyers like me away from Toyota Honda etc.

I want to...

Re: Production End?

Very sad indeed, the ION is a really great car, I am glad I have my QC and hope it lasts for many years and a few hundred thousand miles.

Re: Coming to 1 yr anniversary and 1 major complaint.

My 2005 ION3 QC is over one year in service now, at 19,000 miles. I have found the fuel economy to be within expectations. However this QC does seem to get couple mpg less than my 2003 ION3 sedan...

Re: Water Leak

My 2003 ION3 had water getting onto the dash area and various other areas, was caused by an improperly installed drain tube in the "A" column. This was a sedan, which I traded for a QC in 2005. I...

Re: Might be getting a new ION

Having owned a 2003 ION3 sedan, and now a 2005 ION3 QC, I do not really think there is much difference in rear access or comfort between the two cars. In fact most riders seem so intrigued by the...

Re: my new ion is leaking already

The dealer I used to use for service told me the same thing after several visits. However, eventually my car suffered a flood which left water laying in the cup holders and drenched the ceiling. ...

Re: my new ion is leaking already

It may be the drain tubes in the "A" pillar. I went through this with the previous 2003 ION3 I owned. The drivers side tube was improperly connected. I also had a door adjustment problem which was...

Re: Trunk Lid Rubbing - Fixed

The bothersome thing for me is that my 2003 ION3 sedan did not have this issue, but my new 05 QC does. Perhaps this is a rare enough problem that they did not introduce the "fix" on the assembly...

Re: Trunk Lid Rubbing - Fixed

Per service bulletin #05-0862001, 3 small rubber bumpers were installed on the trunk lid. These bumpers are much smaller than I had heard descriptions of, and are not visible when the trunk is...

Trunk Lid Rubbing - Fixed

My 05 ION3 QC went in today to get the repair for the trunk lid rubbing the top of the bumper. The update does not in any way change the appearance of the car. In an old thread there were reports...

Re: High-mileage badges

Most people do not realize that an older Saturn is as old as it is because it is free of dings dents rusty spots, etc. The 1991 SC down the street from me with 175,000 miles on it looks like a brand...

Re: New Member, Need Help on 2003 Ion Logo

I started a thread here in 2003 about this, I lost the "I" on my 2003 ION3 fairly soon after buying the car new in 2003. They told me they changed suppliers for the adhesive and in fact they...

Re: 07' Ions

I plan to keep my 05 QC for many years, and hopefully a few hundred thousand miles. The polymer side panels are a huge issue for me. I swear by this feature. As I see brand new Cobalts and Civics...

Re: My real world crash pictures inside.

My 93 SL2 was the victim of a Ford Ranger pulling in front of it. Hope you can get your car replaced and your injuries healed quickly.

Re: Saturn Advanced Audio System - worth it?

I have had this system on both of my most recent Saturn cars, and I find it to be well worth the cost. Some may say there are better systems out there, but for the cost and the fact it is already...

Re: Trunk Lid Problems

My 2005 ION3 QC has the trunk lid fit problem. I noticed the thin line rubbed into the paint on the bumper a few days ago. I was in for the car's first service today, at 3,600 miles. The dealer...

Re: 2003 saturn ion

LOL... I missed that "feature" after they repaired my 03 ION's electric windows. I thought it was a great thing to leave the stereo on after the passenger opened their door.

Re: front-end clunk 1, dealership 0

My 2003 ION3 had both sides replaced and all was quiet after that. I no longer have the 03, but own an 05 QC now. Has there been a redesign on this or can I expect possible sway bar bushing issues...

Re: Jill Lajdziak on Saturn

The new products are exciting. I am, however, one of the firm believers in polymer also. I have to go with VTHOKIE on that one. For me, I decided to buy an 05 ION, and I plan to keep this one...

Re: C&D's Cobalt vs. the Ion

Hey Jaseball, good to see you around, I also loved my 93 SL2, and still miss it. But I equally loved the 2003 ION3. However, the GM pricing and my strong need for a Chili Pepper Red coupe won out. ...
