I did throw it out. As I stated, it looked to be a machining chip; curled up almost closed end to end, cylindrical about 3/32" diameter and about 3/32"high.

I know what the code says: engine did not achieve required temp rise in allotted time! My QUESTION was would that code being set force the running of high speed fans??

Does anyone know IF a 2008 Vue XE (3.5 AWD) has the "fan control module" and if so, where it is. I have a 'Main Fan', an 'AUX Fan', and a 'Fan Control' relay in fuse box!

Just fixed mine, about 7 Hrs work. Lift car and support (I used concrete blocks and 6" of wood on both sides). Remove Battery neg conn.
