Re: Mid Grade Gas

My 06 manual says to follow the OLM or 1 year which ever comes first. Typically I get 6000 - 7000 miles with the OLM light.

When I am in a hurry and take it to the Jiffy Lube type places for a...

Re: 04-07 V6 Vues?

The Chevy mechanics are ASE certified not just Chevy certified. If they can get the parts they are qualified to work on any car. As to fluids, you are much safer at the dealer than the Jiffy Lube...

Re: Oil Light On

I have never had a shop reset the OLM for me. I always reset it myself when I am leaving.

Re: Where have you gone in your VUE?

60 miles round trip to work for me 4 times per week is its normal service, plus all my normal family running around.

I live in NW Indiana and trip wise I have taken it to Fort Dix, NJ; Atlanta,...

Re: She was a good run boys....

The RL drive train will tow 3500 lbs with no problems. The problem with towing arises is should you tow with it and have an accident then the legal fact that you are towing with a vehicle factory...

Re: Random water appearing in 04 vue rear spare tire well

It looks like I get water that runs down the inside of my rear window occassionally. Never tried to see where though nor have I pulled the rear panel to see if I have a pool. I have never seen the...

Re: Turning off Overdrive?

The only reason I can think of to lock out the O/D is towing heavy.

Re: Water Pump Replacement 2005 AWD VUE

I am coming up on my 100K service and will probably do all the stuff at the same time as well.

Towing a 4K boat with a car only rated for 3500 lbs is not a wise idea.

Re: Towing with 2008 Vue

Well the 08 Vue has a legal towing capacity of 3500 lbs. With a 3,0XX lbs dry wt that does not really leave you much room for "stuff" to put in the trailer. 500 lbs does not go far with clothes,...

Re: 2007 Vue your opinions on reliability please

I have an 06 with the V6. It has been in the shop 4 times with 99,100 miles on it.

Re: Spark Plug Gap?

I never trust the preset gap and always verify. You can never tell what happened to the plug in shipping.

Re: Extended Drain Oil Filter for a 2003 Vue V6?

AMSOIL talks a 25,000 mile change interval and you change the filter 1/2 way through. Can't say I would run AMSOIL though. Read a study comparing it to Mobil1 and M1 was much better and kept its...

Re: New Vue-11 codes,please help!

Throwing that many codes all at once does not sound right especially since you said it is running good to begin with. Reset them all and see what pops up. Might have been old codes as well.

Re: will a 4 cylinder vue pull a tent trailer?

Tom, I went with the airbags on the Jeep when I was towing the popup. Good investment to bring the butt up and get everything back to level. I also ditched the donut tire in favor of a full size...

Re: will a 4 cylinder vue pull a tent trailer?

Backing up is not that hard if you take your time at it. You have to get the concept of to turn the trailer to the right you have to steer the car to the left. My in-laws have a larger trailer and...

Re: will a 4 cylinder vue pull a tent trailer?

Growing up we did not camp much so I never knew the joys or troubles with it. In the military I had my fill of "camping" and was turned off by it. After getting married my wife convinced me to try...

Re: will a 4 cylinder vue pull a tent trailer?

My 06 owners manual says a max of 1500 lbs for the L4. It also states that max trailer weight is figured based on just the driver being in the car.

You will need to know what the gross combined...
