Okay, the plastic ring comes out pretty readily with pliers. Hopefully the old pushrod will be interchangeable with the bent new one.

Thanks. Pictures help.

It appears that the internal snap ring retainer is accessed behind the boot but it is not immediately apparent how to remove the boot. Is it held in place by that plastic...

Yeah, I agree with all that. There doesn't seem to be enough room to get a magnet in there; I'm actually surprised that the pushrod managed to slide all the way down. I'm probably going to have to...

When removing the old slave cylinder during a clutch hydraulics revamp, the slave cylinder pushrod fell off and dropped down into the housing around the clutch fork. I can see no easy way to retrieve...
