Re: 02 SL2- Right CV Axle Replacement Problem

No, that's bad for your new axle. Look along the axle for part that is thicker than the rest, and either brace a short section of 2x4 against it to rubber-mallet it in, or try and hit it with a...

Re: Considering Purchasing this car... opinions?

I wonder if the latch area (bottom and top) didn't both just get pushed in from the fender bender? That would explain why it still latches - both were bent in the accident.

Maybe compare the...

Re: Fluid running noise in cabin, weak heat

I don't want to go underneath the car to undo the hoses, though, unless absolutely necessary. Or lay on my back on the door sill to get at it. I was under the car last weekend and I still get a...

Re: Fluid running noise in cabin, weak heat

This makes sense (I'm working from a limited dataset of "people I remember posting this question" :))

I wonder if the narrow head or something caused Saturn to change the slope of the piping?

Re: 02 Sl2 Trans Fluid Replacement Questions

#2, it's a WYAIT question - is it worth it to you to change the seal While You Are In There? I did not change my seals and they were fine for 100k miles. YMMV, you might skip the seals and then...

Re: Who's running 205/50R15's with manual steering? How about vs 195/55?

smaller diameter and lighter weight will both theoretically contribute to better acceleration. Whether that acceleration increase is noticeable is another question :)

Just an opinion, no real...

Re: Considering Purchasing this car... opinions?

Congratulations on the new Saturn! I'll bet it doesn't even burn much oil yet.

Interesting the breather hose was changed. Old one probably just rotted from age.

I think white is a great...

Re: Considering Purchasing this car... opinions?

Noticed the trunk, too. Other than that, car looked really clean. You'd want to take a good look underneath the car, might see body/frame damage.

Too bad they (probably) won't let you remove...

Re: Fuel Gauge Question?

Guessing a bit of burnout?

Re: Fuel Gauge Question?

Re: Revs high

Re: Hitch for Bike rack

Nothing to add other than;

rustproof around wherever you drill (even if rust is not normally an issue where you are), and
your bike is worth a lot more than your car :D
