No, the starter was replaced years ago on the original engine, and the EGR valve failed years ago. The motor mount, spark plug wires, and ECTS were replaced along with belt. Everthing else is oem...

This car is driven 110 miles round trip daily at least 3-5 times a week every week unless i'm on vacation. 108 of the 110 miles are highway, freeway...

98SC2 engine turns over but wont start
I had a similar issue like this monday. After trying several times It eventually started. I turned the key to the on position and pressed the gas pedal to the floor and held for about 10-20 second....

There is no hatred rather some common sense. GM made to many brands even in Saturn hay day and some brands had to go. Saturn just happened to be one of those brands.

Brought car to shop. Second and reverse gears are stuck with second winning the fight. (car going forward in all gears)
Looks like I will be going with a used tranny with a years warranty

New headlights
One of my headlights went out on my 95 SC2. I was going to buy one and saw they had an upgrade. The new ones were hologen 1400 sylvania vs. about 1180's hologen. The lights are definately brighter....

Saturn was simply out of its swin lane. Better yet, GM really never gave it one after the S-series cars.
Another sad fact is GM still hasn't came up with something to replace it bread and butter...
