Re: 1993 sl1 vin9 SOHC front wheel locked not brakes

Drag marks from which tire/s?

If the front are both locking up and not moving the car forward I don't understand how you can get any drag marks trying to go forward.

Re: How much is too much weight?

Your 300 pound 5 foot 10 man will not be comfortable driving a SKY. They are small tight cars.

The canister purge solenoid is located to the rear of the engine block, below the intake manifold above the starter solenoid.
Best accessed from under the car.

Re: Uneven rear tire wear. Stumped.

The pictures are from a 2005 but I can't see them eliminating the adjustments for 2006.

The first picture should be the camber adjust and the second the toe adjust.

On the engine there is nothing that is different between an engine that goes into an auto transmission car or a manual transmission car. Remove the flex plate and install the flywheel. You now have a...

Re: 2.2l oil pan gasket not available?

You have me confused.

What does me answering your question about the oil pan gasket have to do with you finding metal in the oil pan?

Re: 2.2l oil pan gasket not available?

The gasket will be RTV silicon. No preformed type of gasket is used.

Re: 97 saturn sl1 A.C. work

Initial thought is that you have to much oil in the system.
The total amount of oil in the system should be 5 ounces. Ideally the oil should be drained from the original compressor so that the...

Re: Slow-to-release brakes and brake groan fixed!

It is not so much the brake hose collapsing. It is the metal bracket on the hose rusting and squeezing the hose closed. If the bracket was expanded open then the issue would likely go away.

Re: Front end shaking upon fast acceleration.

The L-series does not have a history of differential pin issues. The S-series does.

Has the suspension been checked? Axles?

Which engine? Auto or manual transmission?

Re: 2004 3.5 V6 Saturn Vue Ignition Control Unit

This engine uses coils over plugs. The coils are controlled by the ECM/PCM so there is no ignition control module.

What is the issue with the car? What is it doing or not doing? Any codes?

Re: "Quill" seal

Quill seal replacement requires that transmission be taken apart so that the quill seal can be pressed out and in. The transmission case also needs to be supported so that it does not crack.

Re: State Inspection failed

Sounds like you are looking at/talking about the outer tie rod. You said that they listed the inner tie rod. This is the one at the steering rack under the bellows boot.

Re: Removing wires!

The piece with the rod is the BTSI (brake transaxle shift interlock) solenoid. If you remove it/the wires you will need to disable the interlock system.
