Re: Thinking of buying an 03 Vue-things to look for

Walk away and pick up a Honda powered Vue OR four cylinder with a manual transmission. All others are unreliable IMO

Re: Anybody tried this?

My brother and I have used this method twice. Once to replace his engine and again to replace the clutch and timing chain in mine. Remove the hood and keep the ac connected, just zip tie it out of...

Re: 3.5L in Baltimore pick&pull

I snagged a full set of leather seats from a '07 Hybrid at the LKQ yard in Jessup the other day. Had multiple people stop to look inside while I was wrenching, trying to get the seats as well. Also...

Re: Water dripping out of frame rail around parking brake cable

I would say it is from the air conditioning drip tube. My Vue will produce condensation out of it even when running the climate control without a/c engaged. If it is clear water, then this is most...

Re: Mystery rattle

My initial thought was a wheel bearing until I read that it makes the noise even when it moving. When you say not moving, is this you shaking the vehicle to locate the sound?

Re: Just got an 04 used vue

Enjoy it. The 4 cylinder coupled with a manual transmission is pretty reliable and easy to work on. I have had great luck with mine and enjoy driving it daily.

Re: Anyone to critique my Ebay ad?

Congrats on the sale. Def one of the cleanest I have seen but a bit outside of my price range to inquire about seriously buying it.

Re: Stiff Shifting

I would try changing your trans fluid first. I was having a tough time shifting mine, particularly getting it back into first at a light or various stops. New synthetic fluid helped a lot and the...

Re: first gen washer pump

Swapping the pump is easy. I did mine a few months ago and it turned out the pump was still good. The screen at the bottom of the reservoir has a rubber coating that flaked off and plugged up the...

Re: Vue Rust - What do you think?

I would also pass. I am originally from PA and meticulously cared for all my vehicles during numerous winters. I picked up my '04 Vue from Maryland last month and it's very clean with 102k on it....

Re: Replacing a headlight on a Saturn Vue 2003 v6

This is an older post, but I replaced my headlights today and used these steps. Depressing the black tab on the housing makes all the difference. Took about 15 minutes total to swap both headlights.

Re: exhaust smell through heater

I would check out your exhaust manifold or manifold gasket. There is a heat shield on the factory exhaust manifold and it is easy to take off. Under that shield is where they typically crack. If...
