Moving, might need to downsize the fleet
Wondering if anyone here might be interested in my SC2. I don’t necessarily have to sell it, but parking at the new place I got is just limited enough for it to be a pita to have more vehicles than...

Re: Setting time in this darn Saturn stereo
I did something somewhat similar. Mine had MOST of the shaft collar and was only broken just enough that it'd pop off if you weren't careful. I put a dab of superglue in what was left of the collar...

Looking at a 2000 SL1 for $400
The car lot across from my place has a 2000 SL1 with 105,052 miles on it. Power locks/ windows and appeared to have AC. I went and checked it out and from a quick walk around the exterior looks...

Re: To much oil?
Yeah, that's too much. I've heard that the most you want it to be is at the F on full, but someone with more knowledge will chime in as to how bad it being that full is. How long did it sit before...

Re: What vehicle to buy after an S-Series?
I'm at the same point as the OP, just planning for life and at this point I'd be looking at either a used Cruze or a Fiesta/Focus. I'd have to test drive the Fiesta and see how I felt about the...

Re: I'd Like To Buy Some Wheels...
Where are you located? If you've got aftermarket or even just one of the other styles its entirely possible someone might be looking to trade.

Re: HVAC noise
Yeah those will make the install easier, thanks, but I was stuck on how to physically reach it. I'm not sure if I wasn't feeling around the right place under the dash, or if one needs to take the top...

Re: HVAC noise
A quick check revealed it is the re-circulation motor, I'm a little confused on how to access it. The Richpin video I found wasn't quite clear on the method of accessing it, just removing it. Some...

HVAC noise
Recently noticed a new noise coming from somewhere around the blower motor. It's kind of a whining/groaning noise that has been followed by a clink/clunk noise. I haven't taken the motor out yet to...

Re: airbag deployed
.....What? You slow for a broken down vehicle, and YOU get charged with something? Either I'm misunderstanding something or SCal is ass backwards. Are you supposed to simply push the guy in front of...

Re: Transmission Shift Point Question
If it does on it when you step on the brakes then yes, it's the hill brake assist. Mine behaves similarly ONLY when I hit the brakes going down steep hills. If I don't hit the brakes it coasts as...

Re: Proper Tailgating Etiquette
At that point I don't go over the limit by even 1 mph. Even if I'm going with the flow of traffic over the limit, if you get that close I do the limit whatever that may be. I'm doing the limit, they...

Re: The great key experiment!!
This, and I would hope it's mainly an issue with worn down keys/locks. Not that you'd be able to start it (or perhaps even unlock it on some new cars), I wonder if one were to take a handful of...

Re: Speedometer question
Mine's always gone to zero. Does it read speed correctly? It's possible someone may have opened the cluster for something and the needle got knocked out of alignment.

Re: Rear Seat and Headliner Inquiries
My 99 SC2 has some straps in at both the left and right corners of the top of the seat. You pull on those and it flops the seat down. I'd imagine the 97 has something similar. If needed I can get a...
