Gen-2/3 -> 223F

Those are the official setpoints and reading the ECTS with a...

Re: SC2 shifts into 2nd gear only 50% of the time after changering neutral safety swi

You do not need live data to know the range switch is out of adjustment or junk. If it is aftermarket it is junk and if it came from the P&P it is worn out. Go get one from a low mileage 02 Saturn...

Re: Timing cover removal

Re: Wix 33731 fuel filter

The rubber plug is the required high pressure relief to atmosphere.

Re: Need to tap into switched +12V

That 98-04 torrent is a lousy rip of a bad DVD that was sold on ebay for a period of time. The problem with it is it is based on the initial issue of the FSM and contains some not to obvious critical...

Re: Need to tap into switched +12V

That is exactly what leads to a failure of this continuous power connection. If you have windup windows, manual locks, and no sun roof then you will get away with this BUT if you have any of those 3...

Re: Long term use of dex 6?

The reason there are multiple revisions of these solenoids is the earlier ones tend to fall apart. For best results use the latest design. This is one of the reasons for purchasing rebuilt valve...

Re: Need to tap into switched +12V

The 98 wiring is sufficiently different from the 00-02 wiring. They are not interchangeable. Different generations are different in critical ways.

Re: Timing cover removal

Lift the gears out and look at the tips of the inner gear for slightly flater spots across the tips. Also look into the cavity for any circular scoring that is visible.

You will have to replace...

Re: Need to tap into switched +12V

A2 is a terminal that feeds all of the continuous power to the I/P Panel, it is not a fuse. Exactly what is shown on the basic power distribution schematic.

A2 is the Gen-3 terminal the overheats...

Re: Timing cover removal

Replace the pump and if the cavity is scored at all replace the entire cover. Do not pack with grease. Properly prime the system after reassembly. Should also replace both of the pump seals that are...

Re: question on SL2 fuel filter

Now you begin to catch onto the issue. Each monitor has specific entry conditions before it will run, these are must meet or exceed setpoints. The GM Drive Cycle does not provide this information so...

Re: Timing cover removal

It always turns, proves nothing. The relief may have failed, remote chance. Junk may have scored the inside of the pump recess and this is the likely cause of a loos of pressure. If the pump is...

Re: question on SL2 fuel filter

Each monitor can be set ready by performing the appropriate procedure. Specifically the EVAP for gen-3 is quite difficult. The EGR should reset with a brief run on the highway at steady speed, EVAP...

Re: Need to tap into switched +12V

You realize that those car chargers for electronic gadgets are what eventually lead to a failure of the continuous power to the I/P Panel connection at the panel.
