Re: binding front caliper resolved

I bled the lines in the past and had success in restoring caliper function, but the 'fix' was not long term. I believe it just cleared out some 'dirt' that was getting caught in a restricted hose...

Re: binding front caliper resolved

Correction, ...cracking open the bleed screw,...

Replacing the hose did the trick. Purchased the hose at Napa. I think it was CCC brand (hard to make out) from China.

I'm having trouble with...

Re: binding front caliper resolved

Nice timing. I think I am dealing with that same exact problem now.
Driver's side front is dragging. I've bled the line and lubed the guide pins. And I'm kicking myself for not making sure that...

Re: 2006 Vue Red Line Clunk Noise In Front End

You have to look under the transmission section for the transmission mount, ACDELCO 22726738.

Re: GPS vs Odometer/Speedometer

If you haven't yet, I would have the transmission reprogrammed on your '07 V6 per the recall if applicable.
Allowing it to shift at higher rpms should lessen the strain of taller tires plus towing.

Re: Saturn Vue with a Plow??

I still remember a college friend from Florida asking if snow hurts when it falls on you... :D
He loved learning how to ski when we took him...

Re: Saturn Vue with a Plow??

That is exactly the tractor I would have mentioned except I didn't want to reference something for sale from this forum. It was a few miles down the road from me. Funny that you wound up buying it...

Re: Saturn Vue with a Plow??

I have a Sears lawn tractor, 15hp, 6spd fitted with the 42 inch snow blade, 30lb wheel weights and 2 link tire chains.
With a bit of patience it can move a lot of snow.
I personally find it sort of...

Re: Warped Rotors after 30,000 miles

Actually, at least for my 2006 Vue, the rear drums are adjusted during an abrupt stop in forward motion. It is mentioned in the manual. Can't vouch for other years but I would imagine the same...

Re: Silicon Dielectric Grease

I agree, good stuff.

I was able to pick up a 17oz spray bottle at a local Eastern Mountain Sports (EMS) store. The only local source I could find at the time.

Re: Rotor/Brake Design

I combined ATE rotors with Akebono Ceramic pads and so far still excellent.
Haven't noticed any surface rust except where the pads rub (after a rain). Winter will be the true test for around here.

Re: Good Wiper Blades

I bought the Bosch Icons when on sale for BOGO free.
If I recall correctly I think I tried the Trico steel band blade on my wife's car and the rubber separated from the bands. I replaced that one...

This is the WRONG part number then? :dizzy:

RockAuto.com sells Moog, Spicer and AC Delco.
Looks like the Spicer rear part is the same as the AC Delco, just cheaper.
