There's confusion when using the word crank and start. Crank or start can mean zero sounds, no starter. No cranking can mean the same. No starting can mean zero starter sounds or the engine turns...

In perspective with diy repairs, if you assumed replacing the compressor with a used one with similar amounts of pag oil remaining in both, there may be less oil in the system from using new parts....

Try a fuel pressure check since you have no record of fuel filter replacement and do not know if there's a fuel pump issue. Guessing can become costly in several ways.
