Re: Heater/AC Blower Issues

Well that blower switch is not going to work here. Found this one in an earlier post but it's not compatible with the Ion. Assuming we've correctly diagnosed the switch voltage, it looks like the...

Re: How to jury rig a horn switch?

Actually, I ended up following the service manual procedure to remove the airbag and get to the horn wires and just clip them. I really took my time and followed the procedure to the letter just to...

Re: Should You Ever Clean Valves Directly?

I tried the new Seafoam spray version. I think this really made a big difference in the engine performance. I also poured part of the can into the crankcase and will change the oil after 100 to 200...

Re: Should You Ever Clean Valves Directly?

Thank you Jim!

Should You Ever Clean Valves Directly?

Hi All,

I currently have the manifold off my 2003 Saturn Vue V6 (159K miles). I was getting misfires off the 1,3,5 cylinder so I have replaced all the plugs and the Ignition Coil for the 1,3,5...

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Thanks but this broke bum won't be extending any gratitude to GM for anything. We owned Saturns since 1994. I bought the Vue thinking I would see some of the same innovations that Saturn introduced...

Re: Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Because I wasn't certain about cutting any of those wires, I went ahead and followed the service manual instructions for removing the airbag and cutting the wires to the horn switch. I felt much like...

Vue Stuck Horn and the Switch By-pass Method

Hi All,

On my 03 Vue, I have the ubiquitous stuck horn/Service Engine Light issue that has popped up through the years on this forum. Rather than go for the airbag removal method, I wanted to...

Re: How to jury rig a horn switch?

After re-reading the posts, would it be correct to

- clip the black wire
- connect the instrument side of the black wire to one post of the new switch
- connect the other side of the switch to...

Re: '04 Vue - the bolts that connect shock to knuckle - WHAT are they?

Hello All,

Yes - that is what I remember doing with mine. Loosen to a point they don't seem to move any more then hammer them out. I don't remember the socket but it didn't seem to be a problem...

Re: 03 Vue Shocks/Struts Completed

I had a lot of creaking and groaning from my front end when I went around curves or over bumps. When I replaced the struts, that went away. What kind of mileage do you have on your struts?

Re: Saturn Turns off! CPS???

I had the same issues - stalling at traffic lights, stop signs. The Crank Position Sensor solved the problem for sure. Hope yours continues to run smoothly!

Thanks,

Re: 03 Vue Shocks/Struts Completed

Yes - That is exactly what I saw on mine. I wondered about that as a lot of the pictures showed that plate with a circle of bearings. That answers that question!

Other than just needing a little...

On my 03 Vue V6, I just replaced my timing belt/waterpump/serpentine belt at 141K. I was surprised at the good condition of the belts. I wouldn't wait that long though. At lot depends on the type...
