Re: L200 rear speakers

The factory premium sound has a single small woofer on the driverís side of the rear deck. I think the premium sound cars have a stand alone overlay harness. So no to your question, you will need to...

Re: dead engine :(

They use these engines in many GM car lines. So donít just look for a Saturn mechanic. I repaired my own car but I am a professional mechanic. These engines are easier to repair than the Ford Diesels...

Re: dead engine :(

I spent about $700 on parts to repair the last L200 with a broken chain. I replaced all the valves, main chain kit from cloyes, just the guides and tensioner and chain for the balance shaft, water...

Re: 2002 Saturn L200 switch assembly (driver's side window)

It is possible that the window motor limit switches are acting up. Since the driverís window works differently than the other three. The window motor senses torque to stop the auto down function....

Re: Should I trade-In or Sell?

I bet your wife will love the Regal. Since the L series is an Opel Vectra and the Regal is an Opel Insigna. In fact the Insigna replaced the Vectra line for GM Europe. She will feel right at home,...

Re: lw300 v6 a/c clutch replacement

Well you might have to remove the three bolts to drop the compressor or you could take a look! I do this every day!

Re: lw300 v6 a/c clutch replacement

You have good access with the bumper cover and the inner shrouds off the car. I replaced the clutch coil on one of my L200s.

Re: Any 3.0 parts worth saving?

I have gleaned lots of parts from several cars. My leather L200 only had a lighted visor mirror on the driverís side. One of my parts cars had the two map lights on the mirror and a passenger side...

Re: Do the On/Off switches on heated seats go bad?

The center panel just pulls off and you can unplug the fog lights and that side seat heat switch. See if that shuts off the heat. You can replace just that switch pair if needed.

Re: L200 waterpump replacement

I agree with pierrot completely. I am a mechanic and the toughest part was the three bolts into the back of the block near the thermostat.

Re: L300 Headlight Issue

I would plug the new headlight assembly into the driverís side to make sure the new light is wired correctly. I suspect an open ground wire buried in the harness.

Thanks for the 2003 schematic,...

Re: LW200 Timing Chain Tensioner and Upgrade???

The early engines have a restricted nozzle that lubes the main chain. Proper oil changes and the cars run for many miles. If your nozzle is still flowing well you should not have any problems. I...

Re: 04 L300 Sedan HVAC Stuck on Defrost

This unit is serviceable in the car. I would take different length phillips screw drivers. You need to remove the complete glove box to gain access. I do not have any parts for sale.
