Re: GM moves Saturn closing date !

That sucks! Ah well, all good things eventually end right? I would rather see Saturn die young and leave out on a high note myself. Most people that are non-Saturn owners would say Saturn is a great...

Re: Green Line Vue Hybrid Uses Less Fuel with Engine/Hybrid Combo

I think they are having issues with the battery manufacturer. Plus the system is used in the Chevy's too so their aren't many to go around. Probably won't see the 2-mode anytime soon either, but I...

I have just replaced the OEM rubber inserts on the car for the 4 and a half years that I have owned it. It's time for a change I am gonna get these because my Aura has something similar and they work...

Re: Does your PRNDL light up?

Yes, I live in the second most polluted city in America and that's what I want too. I know the designers have their reasons, but I just guess that is how the cookie crumbles.

Re: Does your PRNDL light up?

I noticed this and wished they had installed something that would make it easier to tell what gear the car is in. My cheap *explative* Ion at least had one. Amazing Saturn didn't put something in to...

Re: It's Official: GM Credit Cards Expand Reward Options to Include Saturn Vehicles

Figures they would do this three months after I bought my new Aura. lol I use my GM card for regular purchases because it has the lowest rate of all my cards. I always saw the 5% I got back from it...

Re: IIHS Awards Saturn Aura Top Rating in Front Offset and Side-Impact Crash Test

This is probably the biggest reason I bought my Aura. For the money it was the safest car I could afford. I shattered my pelvis once in a previous accident and I don't want to go threw that again....

Re: Changes for 2009

Any word on why traction control is going away? Is the stability control making it obsolete? I have never driven the 2.4, but that's good people like it. My 4-speed transmission seems like it will be...

Re: So.. what tires are folks switching to?

The tire size currently on my car is 225-50-17. Don't the sizes have to match up?

One bad thing about the triple treads I forgot to mention is that the "rim guards" might cause you some trouble...

Re: So.. what tires are folks switching to?

I have the Triple Treads on my Ion and I must say they are the best tires I ever owned. If they made them for the XE I would get them in a heart beat.

Re: Rotors, anyone?

I have had the squeal problem too. The retailer said they could only resurface the rotors, but in their experience it wont fix the problem. Chryslers seem to have this problem too from what I have...

We are about at the same point in our ownership of our Aura's. I have almost the same mileage as you and have the same grinding noise from the rear breaks. I can tell I will have the same troubles as...

Re: Rotors, anyone?

Re: Saturn Ion, GM Score in Loyalty Study

CO2 has killed more people than pollution and it is the primary culprit when it comes to global warming. It has the possibilty of causing the worst ecological disaster in our history within less than...

Re: Saturn Ion, GM Score in Loyalty Study

I think by some messed up law, PZEV's can only be sold in six states.

"That is, unless you live in California, New York or six other northeast states that follow California's tougher pollution...

Re: Saturn Hybrid Update

That is the reson, but they shouldn't set dates and projected production numbers if they cannot hold to their word. :arr:

Re: Saturn Hybrid Update

Yikes, if they are having trouble still with getting the "mild" hybrids out I guess I shouldn't expect to see the dual mode hybrid VUE for a long time. :(

Re: So.. what tires are folks switching to?

Yep. My tires spin pretty easy. I know from my experience with the Ion that the Goodyear's will be good tires. I am going to wait for some warmer weather though to get them.

Re: two-mode Aura Hybrid

They said the VUE 2-Mode with be avaliable in the forth quarter of this year. I guess that means we will see it June of 2009? lol That's one reason I don't think we will see a Aura 2-Mode anytime...
