Re: Free Fuel Filter - 2000 Saturn S-Series

Can anybody tell me what the extra tube connector is for? Maybe I can find some use for outside its intended function.

I would love to see what the inside looks like without cutting it open...yet.

Re: Free Fuel Filter - 2000 Saturn S-Series

Wow. I had no idea a non-OEM/Wix filter was so despised by Saturn snobs. :)

I thought at the very least it could serve in one those situations where "I'll put it in to see if that was the...

Free Fuel Filter - 2000 Saturn S-Series

I no longer own a Saturn. I have a fuel filter still in the box I had bought for my SL2.

If you live in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area and want it, let me know and we can arrange a pick-up.

Windshield Wiper Mechanism Adjustment

Fearing that the windshield wiper motor (transmission ?) had failed, I was pleasantly surprised to find out the nut that attaches the motor to the rest of the assembly had somehow loosened. (Not sure...

Re: Steering problem - URGENT

After I replaced the inner and outer tie rod and "eyeballed" the toe, the tire no longer rubs against the outer tie rod when fully deflected to the right.

What other signs of a bad internally...

Re: Steering problem - URGENT

Had the system inspected at Belle Tire. Was told I needed two control arms...at a cost of $75 each....OK. I can do that at a much cheaper cost.

I'm also told I will need camber bolts...at a cost...

Steering problem - URGENT

This morning Michigan was gifted with thin blanket of snow and bitter cold temperatures, resulting in slippery roads and me slamming into the curb at a pretty good clip. The steering wheel was...

Radio Compatibility check - 2000 SL

I have a 2000 SL2. Th stock radio/CD just stopped working completely. Not a fuse or wiring issue.

As I look for OEM replacements at JY's, what years would fit this car?

Thanks.

Re: Current Motor Oil Rebates

I know. I bought two oil changes, including the extra long oil filter everyone's been bragging about. I wish I had enough money to buy a couple more oil changes at that price.

Re: OEM recommended--No exceptions

Thanks for your wise input. I was aware of the questionable performance of my off market choice. I don't expect it to perform as well as a different, more acceptable brand. All three items are in...

Re: Engine compartment resonator

I put in a temporary cover. I will be going to a salvage yard sometime and try to find one.

Question: What years/models Saturns will have resonators that fit my 2000 SL2?

Thanks.

Thanks. I didn't know there was any type of roar in the intake. Is it really that noticeable with it on or off?
