Re: Where is OldNuc?

Maybe what OldNuc thought were “Private Messages” were actually posted, publicly, to his FaceBoot account and crazed stalkers tried to run him off the road  So, he bailed. Not likely, but it...

Re: 98 sc2 windshield glass

I’m sure they’ll have retail outlets in the future. Once this virus softens-up the price of realestate, they’ll be able to expand. They’re even positioned to grab a share of the social-distancing...

Re: 98 sc2 windshield glass

Does Fuyao have a warehouse where I could get a windshield loaded into the back of my pick-up? Does anyone sell windshields directly to the public?

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Today, I took it on a non-essential drive as a non-essential worker. I noticed there were a-holes pushing 15 mph over the posted limit. Things are getting back to normal. Let’s hope for the best :)

Re: Where is OldNuc?

Maybe Oldnuc noticed that most of what he did, in his own yard or own home, started showing up in related YouTube video suggestions...and it unnerved him. Who knows. Sounds unlikely. I wouldn’t know.

Re: What did you do to your S-Series today...

Looks good.
If you wrap the console ductwork with reflective foil, the car will theoretically warm-up inside quicker in the coldest part of winter. Use silicone tape to seal the joints in the...

Re: And the rate of return is.......

Correction: ...The graphs don’t account for the car’s wind resistance, except maybe in the “% load”.

Re: And the rate of return is.......

Fuel efficiency might improve if you drive a little faster.
Try keeping the engine R.P.M. at a specific point on the map and see what happens. The graphs don’t account for the car’s wind resistance....

Re: Any way to test an axle out of the car?

There is a correct way to test them.

Here is an incorrect way that I found useful:
Hold the axle horizontally with both hands, one on either side of the boot. Hold the short side at the threads....

Re: 1998 SC2, MagnaFlow Exhaust Question

Thanks for the good information.
I wonder if MagnaFlow’s O.E. and HM both have the same corrugated coils and the only difference is the amount of catalyst deposited on the coils. It doesn’t seem...

Re: 1998 SC2, MagnaFlow Exhaust Question

It seems like there is an emissions penalty built into the price.
Meeting only the Fed emissions costs $69 more than meeting California/CARB.
The O.E.M. costs $69 more than the HM.

Re: 1998 SC2, MagnaFlow Exhaust Question

That sounds plausible, but both the HM and the OEM website images have a disclaimer, “Not for sale in California”.
