Re: Negotiating With the Dealership on a Vue

Saturn has always had a "No Haggle" policy on its vehicles right from the start. This means they will not negotiate on the price.

BUT many dealers used to have something called "flex" coupons (or...

Re: lawsuits or Class Actions on VTi tranny?

The basic facts about the VTi are that it has been a problem tranny right from the start and there are many posts on this forum about the many problems many members have had with it.

My problem...

Re: 2003 Vue ???

I had a 2003 VUE but mine was a 4 cyl with the VTi. The Sixes did not have the VTi.

I think you should try to see all the service records for this vehicle which will indicate what problems might...

Re: Fuel Injector Cleaning

I think you were ripped off by the dealer!

I've been using Techron Concentrate for years in my vehicles and in my opinion this is the most cost-effective and the best product on the market for...

Re: 2003 Saturn VUE... strange noise

Dump it....fast. Run don't walk to your Saturn dealer to get the best deal you can. The VTi is a failed product and there are many postings on this site about all the VTi probems and failures. Since...

Re: VTI "Another one bites the dust!!"

Sorry to hear of your problems PapaG but in my opinion VTi failures are inevitable sooner or later. It's a problem tranny--get rid if it ASAP and get yourself something with a real transmission.

Re: Oh My God~ My Vti Is Dying!

Saturn gave original VTi owners a 5-year 75,000 mile extended warranty starting from the date the vehicle first went into service and this warranty is extended to all subsequent owners of the vehicle...

Re: 2003 Vue - New to us

If you do a search on the VTi on this site you'll come across many posts on this problem tranny. Many VTi's have failed within a few thousand miles while other owners report of going 100,000 miles...

Re: 03 VTI, what are you guys doing with them?

I'd get rid of it ASAP. I was going to get rid of my 2003 VUE VTi this spring anyway but the decision was made for me when some clown ran a red light just outside of Charleston, SC and the VUE was...

Re: Free Car Wash - not good (and more)

Asking the dealer NOT to wash the vehicle isn't rocket scince. All you need to do is to hand print or computer print in large letters on a standard piece of paper the words DO NOT WASH and tape it to...

Re: lots of negativity 2003 saturn vue about engins, anybody clear up 4 me or is it true ?

There's nothng wrong with either of the 2003 VUE engines--they are some of the best around.

It's the auto transmission that's the problem on 4 cyl. 2003 VUE's. It's a CVT transmission called the...

Re: VTI problem?

This subject keeps coming up as newer members join us.

The VTi has an extended warranty for 5 years or 75,000 miles whichever comes first from the date the vehicle was first placed in service. The...

Re: 2004 FWD VTI Vue in France

It's not a good idea to take a VUE with VTi (or any other transmission for that matter) to France. As we all know, the VTi is a problem transmission so where do you go in France for servicing or...

Re: poor quality headliner?

I think the headliner is a Saturn problem.

Had trouble with it in my 2003 VUE and when my wife's 2004 ION2 went in for service late last year the technician noted that the headliner was loose so...

Re: 50K and the VTi is Fine

The problem with the VTi is that it's a gamble and I don't like gambles with a transmission that might have left me stranded miles from home. The VTi might fail at 5,000 or less or go to 80,000...

Re: What a difference a month makes: Very unhappy campers

We had to take our 2004 Saturn ION2 into our dealer for warranty work. The front end alignment was off and we had this whirring sound from the front end so the dealer realigned and gave us two...

Re: Need Ins adjuster advice soon

Re: Any comments on the FWD CVT

It's a simple answer--don't buy a VUE with VTi. It's a problem transmission and you take a gamble--it might fail at 15,000 miles or it could go to 100,000 miles and after the 5/75 warranty runs out...

Re: Spare Tire on Tailgate?

Re: 35 MGP VUE anyone?

No, it was an "interview commercial" where the sales manager/owner, or whomever, of the dealership was being asked questions about the VUE which was on display right next to them. Questions and...

Question 35 MPG VUE anyone?

Our local Saturn dealer has been running ads which claim "up to 35 MPG" for the 2006 VUE. No particular model mentioned but I think this statement is misleading as I don't think any of the current...

Re: i think i made a mistake buying the 05 vue @ clearance time

This is a correction to my original post and the 2.4L RAV4 is 166 H.P and not 266 H.P but then y'all are so smart that you figured that out for yourselves anyway.

A manual tranny is not available...
