Re: Possible Opel/Saturn/Astra spyshots ...

I'm surprised you don't see more Mexican-registered cars that close to the border.

Re: "aura-esque" wagon; anyone else excited?

Re: Aura issues

I'd recommend steering clear of automatic car washes. I refuse to use them as they are notorious for damaging cars.

My father once had the roof of his Peugeot 605 dented by an automatic carwash....

Re: no more coupe once they kill the Ion?

The Astra comes as a 3 or 5-door hatchback, a wagon, or a Astra Twin Top "coupe-cabriolet" with a folding metal roof. You might get this as a replacement for the Ion coupe:

Re: A British take on the Sky...

They'd love the Red Line, seeing as their only real critisism of the regular Sky was that it wasn't especially quick.

A British take on the Sky...

No, I haven't driven it yet.... Though I'd very much like to.

This is a short review on the Sky by weekly British car magazine Autocar. Thought you guys might be interested to see their take on...

Re: A quarter of a million miles and still runs like new

I still can't get over the fact that you have a TWO YEAR OLD car with 250k on the clock... That's insane!

Congrats though! Long may it continue! :D

Re: Spring Hill to get new product!

They're probably about the same. I think we get a mixture of English and Belgian-built Astras here.

Re: Spring Hill to get new product!

I've driven it too!... But it was a while ago now. Having said all that about Ellesmere Port it did seem quite impressively well made.

Re: Spring Hill to get new product!

I believe Spring Hill would be able to build good quality Astras... Heck, I'd probably choose a Spring Hill-built Astra over an Ellesmere Port, Cheshire-built Astra!

Re: 25 most popular cars AOl autos

When the year is out, I would love to see Saturns calender year sales for 2006. I bet they are up on last year.

Re: Doh!, I hit a deer, a female deer!

Phew, at least you hit it at a relatively low speed.

A friend of mine hit a doe at around 40mph in an old Ford Fiesta. It wrote off the car! The damage didn't look too bad but it was more than...

Re: Do you remember where or when you saw your 1st Saturn?

I saw my first Saturn in May 1997 in Las Vegas, Nevada! It was my first time in the US and I found myself attracted to these small cars from a brand that I hadn't heard of before!

Never thought...

Re: Replacement for ION...my idea.

Gullwing doors look great on the DeLorean but they're a bad idea.

Drive a gull-winged car when its wet, and when you open the door and get out you'll get dirty water dripping on your head/clothes....

Re: Do you think GM/Saturn should offer the Opel/Vauxhall Zafira in the US?

You bet the Zafira should be sold in the US! :)

Specs for the Zafira and other Opel/Vauxhall models are available here, by the way:

Re: My new 92 SL2

Congrats on the SL2! I have a 1992 SL2 myself and live in England. :D They're pretty well suited to British roads and don't feel at all alien to an average British driver so I can see why your wife...

Re: Spotted a '95 SL2 on Ebay UK

That explains it then. My 1993 SC2 was a manual.

Incidentally, I can't believe it but that Saturn did not reach it's reserve! Incredible how these cars getr overlooked. It would have made a great...
