Replacement muffler for 2008-2009 VUE XR V6

For those of you, like me, who would refuse to pay 960$ for a replacement muffler for a vehicle that is estimated to worth only 3500$, here is an alternative that my local muffler specialist found...

Re: ABS/TCS/ESP Indicators ON

By the way, I got similar symptoms on my '09 VUE XR-V6. (Only TCS and ESP, no ABS light.) A few days before, the battery went down (5 V remaining...)

While driving home, the TCS and ESP lights...

Re: Transmission Temp in 08 Vue XR?

Since I tow a camping trailer (3200 lb) with my 2009 VUE XR V6, I added a transmission cooler. In hot days like we had this week, it does a great job for cooling the tranny. So if you are worried...

Re: Goodbye Saturn: Thanks for the Ride (1985-2010)

Hi friends,

As a car enthousiast in general, I watched Saturn growing and I was always in the expectation of seeing it become what it should have been: the real business model to follow....

Re: Cooper CS4 Tires

When comes time to replace OEM tires, a lot of factors are to be considered. Among them, the kind of "normal" weather conditions and driving habits.

In Tucson, AZ, I suppose snow is not really a...

Thumbs Up Re: Transmission cooler, which hose to use?

I finally got it done at an aftermarket garage (the same place where dealers do business for adding aftermarket stuff in new cars... 100% safe and guaranteed!)

The dipstick is in the cap!

Re: Update on rattling/clunking noise front end

On my 2005 VUE, my dealer did the job "for free". I only had to pay the parts. They call it "good will" work... I'll ask my mechanic how to do it by myself, it seems to be easy to do.

Honestly,...

Re: Air Vent Control Not Working

It is electrical. If I were you, I'd check the cables and plugs. Maybe it's simply unplugged.

Re: anyhting in particular I should look for/be aware of before purchase?

I bought my 2009 VUE XR-6 (FWD) a year ago. It went through its first winder with great honors! So far, the only problem I had was a defective stearing shaft (a lag in the shaft allowed me to move it...

Wrench Transmission cooler, which hose to use?

Hi friends,

I need help. I want to install an auxiliary transmission oil cooler (made by Dana, same as B&R Racing, sold by Mister Transmission) and I'd like to know which hose is the return line....

Re: My best fuel economy so far

Sunshine, 28 C, no wind, 45% relative humidity... the ideal day! :)

I even took photos of the DYC while driving, to keep a proof that it already happened... I'm not sure I'll be able to do it...

Thumbs Up My best fuel economy so far

Last week, I went on a 450 km trip and my 2009 VUE XR-6 averaged 7.7 L/100 km. (Converted, it gives 36.7 MPG imperial, or 30.6 MPG US Gal.) I was driving at 101 km/h (60 MPH) on the cruise control....

Re: I sold my Vue :(

I would add this: The VUE (and other Saturn cars) will keep a good resell value IF, and only IF, owners don't let them go away for a few bucks! We can all ensure a good value by refusing to lower our...

Re: 2008 Vue Winter Handling Problems

The Firestone Destination LE is definitely a "summer tire". Even in light mud, this tire is slippery! It is a "highway only" tire. You obviously need winter tires.

I equipped my 2009 VUE XR-6...

The SM3 is also sold in Europe under the Renault name: the Megane III. In France, this car is well appreciated. Even former F-1 champion Jacques Villeneuve had a Megane while he was living in Europe....

Re: Its Official: Saturn to Cease Operations in Canada

The Saturn VUE is a "mild" hybrid. Therefore, it should be easy to get it serviced by any GM dealer past Dec. 31st. But then... why don't you wait to get the "real" 2-Mode hybrid from Chevy or GMC?...

Re: Its Official: Saturn to Cease Operations in Canada

"Smart" is distributed by Mercedes dealers in Canada. Penske in Canada does only business in truck rental.

WYSINWYG... (There is an "N" in the middle...)

Sometimes, things that should be WYSIWYG are more WYSINWYG... (What you see is NOT what you get)

I discovered that there is a problem with the speedometer of my new Vue. The needle doesn't...

Re: Replaced the Cabin Air Filter (08 Vue)

Mileage or time delay, none of these are really significant for this part. It is more a reminder than a real mandatory replacement, since this part is not a "functional" one and the fact that it...

Is it finally clear? I haven't read it "from the mouth of the horse" yet. Is it definitive? No more Saturn in Canada...

I can already imagine the amount of lawsuits that will have to be engaged...

Re: Owner Story: Vacationing with the Vue and a RV Trailer

This is the beauty of camping: the wide choice of types of camping! Yes, I used quotes for the word "serious" because it is not more serious than any other form of camping. It is just a preference....

Re: Owner Story: Vacationing with the Vue and a RV Trailer

Hey! 19 L/100 km is quite good! Here are the numbers with my VUE 2005, which was technically the same as yours:

Flat roads, no wind, nice summer day at 22 C: 17 L/100 km
"Normal" day, a low...

Re: Opel Headlmap Swap for Vue

Yes, the Saturn VUE 2008-2009 is a rebadged Opel Antara. Vauxhall is the other name of Opel in England. Holden is selling it as the Captiva Maxx. GM Daewoo sells it as a Daewoo Winstorm Maxx in...
