Re: Saturn Ion2-WTF

You're about 7 years, the entire Ion line being discontinued, and the entire Saturn brand being killed too late for that amazing revelation.

Re: General Motors to Commemorate Launch of Chevrolet Traverse at Spring Hill Plant

Give GM 2 more years and I'm sure that will become reality.

Re: dose this sound right?

In my Ion I bought the extended warranty. Brought my car in because the front power plug failed to work and the service manager said that wasn't covered.

I asked him what the factory bumper to...

Re: Lajdziak replaces Schembri as president of Smart

It must be awesome to be a connected person in an executive position. To be rewarded for dismal failure and to make a ton of money regardless of how poorly you perform, while still being able to land...

Re: 10 Best Discontinued Cars

Me either, but knowing the entire line of cars and not just a model line has disappeared doesn't encourage me to buy and it does affect perceived value.

Also, knowing GM has and is continuing to...

Re: I will miss my ION 3....

Yeah it isn't the car or the dying brand, but crooked dealers of all makes and models.

I've tried buying cars 3x this past year. My situation is different in that:

1) I am keeping the Ion, so...

Re: GM sending out letters

So what you are saying is we should support their failed business plan and horrible execution by buying another GM product?

The same thing over and over is FAIL. More like EPIC FAIL.

Chevy is their entry level brand.

Re: GM Hopes to Retain Saturn Customers, but 69% of SaturnFans.com Members Surveyed S

I may purchase a GM vehicle, but I doubt it will be a new one. Most likely a used Saturn or some other brand. Really have no interest in any new GM car.

Re: A Wealth of Lessons from Saturn Failure

In short - Saturn could have been a success, but GM got in the way and killed it.

GMAC seeking THIRD handout

Bet my GM card is either going to be canceled or switched to something else pretty soon.

Was glad when I got my 0% GMAC loan, but it sure didn't help them much.

Re: Thoughts on opening an "Independent Saturn Dealer"

Would not be a success. Saturn is too limited a brand with too small a base for something like that to work. Also, since the brand is dead you are never going to see an influx of new model years,...

Re: A Letter from Jill Lajdziak to Saturn Owners Regarding GM

Got my 'Dear John,' letter too and don't really see the point. A good thing is I guess it gets a few hundred K paper letters out, so GM is supporting the stationary makers and providing a bit of cash...

Re: SaturnFest 2009 Postponed

Well, I guess since my Ion3 is a 2003 first year sedan I really don't expect it to get much for the car if it were used as a trade in now, but the car itself is still far more valuable to me.

Re: SaturnFest 2009 Postponed

Well, as far as Saturn fest we really should help Charlie out and we really shouldn't give him any grief.

It's easy to sit here and complain about GM or sit back and watch to see if his Saturn...

Re: SaturnFest 2009 Postponed

Not sure why you decided to post in the SaturnFest postponement thread. I think a new thread would have worked out better.

There is no basis for suing GM over their decision to kill Saturn as a...

Re: SaturnFest 2009 Postponed

Yeah, I think this is a good idea. If the Penske thing went through Saturn had a chance and it would be worth celebrating.

As it stands it would be like a wake/funeral instead of good times and we...

Re: Will Your Next New Car be a General Motors Vehicle?

I totally agree, except I don't think it was any of our 'duty,' to dump money into a GM or other domestic branded vehicle.

My parent's were immigrants to this country and always bought domestic...

Re: Everything Must Go: Official Saturn Merchandise Reduced 50-80%

$20 for shipping? They must be nuts.

Re: Will Your Next New Car be a General Motors Vehicle?

1) A loan? Would any sane institution make a loan to a company as screwed up as GM? It's like trying to bail out the Titanic with a water bucket. GM bleeds cash, has a crap reputation, alienated...

Re: Will Your Next New Car be a General Motors Vehicle?

It's funny how people like to say Saturn didn't make any money. GM itself didn't make any money. It isn't like all their brands, except the ones they cut were doing so hot, so GM decided to get rid...

Re: Dealer closing blessing in disguise - Chevy service rocks

Saturn of Concord was great at both sales and service.

Now they are Concord Chevy, so at least for awhile I'm sure the service and other aspects will be pretty good.
