Re: 93 SL2 Master cylinder port sizes.
Most places charge $35 to $121+ for that tap, and you would be better just replacing the master cylinder, however;
Ebay has one for about $13, but it comes from England and shipping time is long.

Re: Rebuilding 96 dohc
Looks like HomeDepot has gone the way of California.
No MEK, but been replaced with Klean-Strip (not as volatile).
But, Walmart of all places sells it by the gallon.($39).

Re: AC voltage at battery
^^ ?
In all my RF/EMI training and microwave/UHF/VHF/commercial, private and military radio antenna experience I doubt it.
I don't believe a longer set of DMV leads will induce/or amplify any AC...

Re: Radiator difference
$80 is not a bad price for a Spectra Premium from Rockauto for your '01 L.
Is this what you bought?

Re: 99 sw2 seems to run cold
Did you use a new Stant thermostat?
Is the top radiator hose (drivers side) hot going into the radiator?
When you replaced the ECTS, did you check for corrosion inside the wiring plug, it could be...

Re: Transmission sensor connector identification
Don't use any crimp type connection for this or on the ECTS wiring.
It will degrade and eventually (especially on the ECTS) lose the full 5vdc (IIRC) supplying that sensor. Solder is the only way to...

Re: How much gas and oil in A/C systems?
For the best answer, I would re-post your question in the ION forum, not here in the S series forum. Not all of us here own S's and Ions.
:) And you are posting on an 11 year old thread too!

Re: Steel/zinc bolts and nuts OK for exhaust?
Not all stainless steel is rust proof or even rust resistant.
It depends on the specific grade.
A whole lot of stainless is just that, that they just stain-LESS.
Even though I had machine shop...

Re: Is this the correct valve cover hose?
Yes, but you can save a few dollars and pick it up at advance auto, and use 20-25% off by ordering on line and picking it up at the store.
If the snow storm is not too bad, Loveland, CO has 2 of...

Re: Saturn Sl1 struggling to move
Only use Dexron III compatible trans fluid, NEVER any other Dexron #.
Read the container carefully, many times it will say EXCLUDES SATURN S series, so don't use it ever.

Actually, if you have an SL1, your have a SOHC, not DOHC.
Have you owned it long enough to have changed the trans fluid before this change now?
If so, you...
