Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

Yay, saturn has a fix for the odometer. I'm back to normal mileage. Funny that my trip A odometer reads over 10,000 miles while my regular odometer reads 7000 something. Curious how this reads on...

Re: Speed Compensated Volume

Just tried the speed compensated volume in a my loaner car - a different gm vehicle - and it works just fine. If the Outlook without the NAV really does have a 2db change, it's not enough. Nowhere...

Re: Speed Compensated Volume

I'm not familiar with the NAV/DVD interface. On the interface, does the volume indicator on the screen show that the volume has gone down? Or does it stay the same even though the volume goes down...

Re: Roof racks revisited - Yakima LowRider Max Towers

Yeah, using universal mightymounts with $8 universal wraparounds. I don't think it's adequate for heavy loads, but it gets me the extended bar lenght I'd need for two boats. I'd still tie down...

Re: Roof racks revisited - Yakima LowRider Max Towers

I got the Saturn crossbars and used the unviversal wing mounts to attach my yakima bars to the Saturn crossbars. The Saturn roof rails didn't seem strong enough to hold railriders and the spacing...

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

In my opinion, it's damaged caused by either the service department or whoever releases the bulletins (service says it's because Saturn had an ECM update without a corresponding TCM update ready). I...

Re: Speed Compensated Volume

I also can't tell the difference on any of the settings on my 2007 non-nav radio.

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

Thanks. From what I've researched, it doesn't seem impossible. If they can make and sell the tools outside the U.S. to do it for the wrong reason, I would think the Saturn folks could do it for the...

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

I've made it as high as I can through customer care with phone calls. So now I'm working on the letter route. I don't think I'm the news story type.

Lemon law here requires a certified letter to...

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

Thanks all. I appreciate the comments and advice.

The service department had offered to adjust my warantees to accomodate the fact that I'll be hitting mileage milestones sooner than I should. I...

Re: Cargo Box Recommendation

I bought the rails online and installed them. Pretty easy install and much less than doing it through the dealer.

I don't think yakima or thule have any solution for the outlook yet. But you CAN...

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

I agree. If they can program it to goof my miles, they should be able to program it to correct it. I'm torn because I feel my odometer has been tampered with once, fixing it requires tampering with...

Re: What to do about extra miles added by service dept

The service department said they can replace some component and go back to zero or adjust the warrantee. But going back to zero it gets the rolled back odometer sticker which to me SERIOUSLY...

What to do about extra miles added by service dept

My service department added a few thousand miles to my outlook's odometer as a result of my ECM/TCM reprogramming and they say they can't correct the mileage.

What resolution would you expect from...

Re: Odometer, Mileage, Fuel Guage, etc

That was the first thing I checked. Definately set for miles. The service dept has corrected the problem for incoming miles. But now I have several thousand miles on it that don't belong.

Re: Odometer, Mileage, Fuel Guage, etc

Yes. I don't have my notes with me, but I got one of the reprogrammings/flashes done at with with my oil change to fix the fuel gauge and to try to remedy acceleration and poor gas mileage. Not...

Re: First letter from GM

Be careful. I got my ECM reprogrammed in september for the gas mileage, shifting, and fuel gauge issue. It threw my odometer off. It started tallying over 3 miles for every mile driven until I...

Odometer, Mileage, Fuel Guage, etc

Anyone dealt with odometer issues?

I loved my 07 outlook. Bought it since it was supposed to have decent gas mileage for an eight seater so was calculating gas mileage from early on based on...
