Re: DRL notification doesnt work

Well, considering every other light on the dash is a surface mounted LED.... NOT a bulb, I'd doubt it's the 'bulb'.

Re: help im new

First, spellchecker, and a period. They work very nicely and don't make you sound like a fool.

Second, I've heard of your problem before. I'll second the calipers.

Re: quick, tensioner please help~

If you're that weak that you need a separate wrench for sufficient leverage of that tensioner, I suggest a gym membership.

Re: Adding DRLs

DRL's are EVIL! Don't put them on.

If you REALLY find it neccessary to have DRL's, turn on the low beams. There's even a chime to let you know they are on when your ignition isn't turned on so...

Re: Need help deciding on a saturn for our daughter

Uh, I'll agree with eRic 02sc2 on this one:

So I myself would actually pass on both.

Since you never actually mentioned a price range, I'll assume an average of about $3500. That's what...

Re: SC1 is a RACE Car

I have avoided credit card debt the true way:

I'VE NEVER HAD A CREDIT CARD.

I wouldn't want one, either. I see what happens to people that get one and then think they have money.

Re: Help...oil everywhere...

It's funny you should mention that. The oil that I wiped off DID seem to look like it had just come out of the bottle.

The door was unlocked when I went out this afternoon.... perhaps someone was...

Re: Help...oil everywhere...

Ok, I'll take Weird Things for $1000, Alex......

I went out and wiped up every bit of oil (it IS oil) that I could see/get to. I checked the cap, pcv valve, the air hose to the snorkel, oil level...

Re: Help...oil everywhere...

The 710 fluid (lol, I had to) cap, pcv valve, and oil dipstick are all on and intact. I didn't hear any noises at all (not even that classic tick, tick, tick....) Nothing.

I know the tranny...

Re: Saturn SC! misfire

That could also be a bad connector on the ignition module. Mine fell out of the ign mod one day and the car stalled. I'd also suggest checking all grounds for bad connections. I'm not sure but a...

Help...oil everywhere...

I just took the good old 94 SC2 (auto) for a spin and a started to smell something strange. I wasn't too far from home (I only went 2 miles) so I turned around and came back.

Popped the hood and...

Re: my new saturn

Hmm... I must have had really bad tires then on my 2000 SL1. I was doing about 70 on 81 north, then I decided to pass a bunch of slow people. I downshifted to 4th and before I let the clutch out......

Re: my new saturn

First things first... the period ( . ) is your friend. Learn to use it.

Secondly, look in the how to section of the forums. Do a search. There's a wealth of info to be found.

Re: Glow Guages

I'd love to have this mod for both my Saturns (but more so the SC2). Problem is, I can never find them for the first gen SC2. If you guys have any ideas (YES, I've checked Ebay) where I can get a...

Re: HVAC mod.

That means finding a dealer (only people that do trade ins) that actually has a DECENTLY priced SC2 (I'd still kinda rather an SL2), and more than a negative 200 bucks in the bank.

Re: HVAC mod.

Ok then. I'm better off buying a 3rd gen SL2.

When I had my 2000 SL1, I was going to drop a DOHC in it. The head was cracked so I drove as it was, knowing a new engine was on the way. So why...

Re: HVAC mod.

I'll offer to fix it, now gimme!

No seriously, I have to do more research on whether this is actually feasible or not.

I'll let the cat outta the bag, though:
The true reason I want the 3rd...

Re: HVAC mod.

Well, that's what I meant was putting in an entirely different HVAC unit, not just that little sticker that's on the front.

It cannot possibly be THAT difficult. I have been looking on Ebay and...

HVAC mod.

First, let me state that I've used the search feature already and I did not find a concrete answer to my question.

I have a 99 SL2, manual, 83K.

It still has the stock HVAC control panel...

Re: Uh-oh. Found an extra screw.

You forgot one: The plastic panel that is just underneath the steering wheel (hood release handle is attached to this same panel).

L200... if you're really worried about where this screw goes,...
