Re: Hard shift after hard acceleration

It could be the pressure solenoid that needs replacing.

My son has a 2003 L300 which has hard shifting coupled with the wrench light on. We had it checked out by an auto tranny shop. The guy used...

Re: Should I trade-In or Sell?

I would get the dealer to give you a trade in value of the Satty against the new car. Then if the offer is low ball, sell it privately. You then ask him what the sale price of the new car is without...

Re: L300 power seat removal

There are several motors in the powered seat. Essentially one motor for each action. I think there may be 3 motors as the seat goes 1) Back & Forth, 2) Up & Down, 3) Reclines. Depends which motor(s)...

Re: L300 power seat removal

I also picked up a complete leather interior for my son's L300 and had the same issue. Here's what I did. I bought online (you can also get them in the obscure nuts & bolts section in Lowe's) a 12...

Re: Matching paint

The S series only had ONE White, which an earlier poster detailed on the paint code. This code is listed on the trunk hardboard floor. Problem in a JY is that the floor may have been removed. I know...

Re: No horn sound - suggestions of how to troubleshoot?

I would agree the location is dumb. As a single horn, they are somewhat a meep meep sound. I swapped out the horns on my son's 2003 L300 for a twnin ste up I got from the JY. The electrical...

Re: 07 Saturn aura 3.6 Transmission

Found this
https://www.consumerreports.org/cro/news/2011/11/nhtsa-looks-into-saturn-aura-transmission-problems/index.htm

I've just been researching Aura XR 3.6's as one came up really cheap on my...

Re: Modification/Repair Questions

I can't answer all your questions, but here's my 5 cents...

If this is your first car focus on getting the car running properly & reliably before you start doing mods. We've all been 17 and know...

Re: why in living hell are saturns so cheap

They say you can take people out of the ghetto, but you can't take the ghetto out of people. That's why some cars look pristine and others look like toilets. It's all about people.

Re: Do L200s (L200 L Series 200) rust?

As has been pointed out already, the L series took a leaf out of the S series book and has SOME outer body panels which are plastic (namely door, front fender and front & rear bumper). The remainder...

Re: Thinking of getting a Vue

Asking on an S Series if you should buy a Vue is like going on a Chevy Forum and asking should I buy a Ford! LOL

Personally I would go onto the Vue Forum and get the information you want there....

Re: Saturn SL1 2001 - CRACKED VACUUM LINE CONNECTOR PIECE

My first question before replacing the Throttle body is has it been cleaned at all? Because of the emissions here in the US throttle bodies crud up more than ever. Here's a video on removing and...

Re: Whatever this part is called ... it rattles

On my son's 2002 SL2 sedan it has the full width cosmetic trim panel across the trunk rear. It too rattled. I removed it and there was some original sealer there that had disintegrated with age, etc....

Re: battery drain

If the battery is still under warranty, why give yourself all this grief?

Just take it back to where you bought it from and tell them you are having issues with the still under warranty battery....

Re: LW200: Install a transmission pan drain plug???

And just to repeat myself.... don't forget the L series has NO dipstick so the average joe can't accurately measure the fluid in the tranny. Some folks say replace with what came out, but that makes...

Re: LW200: Install a transmission pan drain plug???

If you plan on clearing up crap the transmission, surely dropping the pan and CHANGING THE FILTER makes the same sense as changing the fluid?
Don;t forget with the L seris, there is NO transmission...

Re: Outrun by a 18pass minivan 95 lw2

Wrong forum. The L series didn't come out until 2000. You must have an S Series Wagon which is an SW. You need to repost in the corrcet forum. That way you will get accurate responses.

Re: Brake Fluid change

You can buy a cheap bleed kit from the autostores or just use a length of clear hose and a jam jar. It's not complicated, it's not rocket science, just being methodical. Don't over think or over...

Re: Front strut replacement L300

The Saturn L series shares many elements with the Saab 9-5 and the Opel/Vauxhall Vectra in Europe. The L series is basically a Vectra that made the journey across the pond and had some cosmetic...

Re: Need a battery

The things you need to be looking for in the battery is a) the warranty and b) the Cold Crank Capacity c) the best price to accomplish a & b. The latter should be bigger to be better. Forget about...

Re: Dashboard lifting fix?

It's just the dash top that has warped slightly. As I mentioned in an earlier post my son's SL2 has the exact same issue. I have removed the dash top more than once and I know about the spring clip...

Re: Dashboard lifting fix?

The same has happened on my son's 2002 SL2. It's just bad design and nickle & diming. The tab on the dash cowl is supposed to be held in place in the indents on the soft padded dash top. That's the...

Re: Getting code u2105

Before you can propose a solution, you have to know what the problem is. Your car is telling you code U2105. You need to find out what this code means. Once you know the fault, then you can determine...

Re: Looking for a GM Tech/Specialist

Now all you have to worry about is the dashboard top fracture cracking in multiple places!

It's a well known issue on the last version of the Suburban (the one you just bought). GM know about it...
