Re: cruise control problem

My 2007 XE had this problem. The dealer had to reprogram the BCM and the cruise started working again. Thankfully it was under warranty at that point.

Anything special about changing spark plugs?

I have a friend coming over next week to help me change the plugs on a 2007 Ion with the 2.4. He is concerned that we might have trouble getting the plugs out because it has aluminum heads. Is there...

Open seat zipper - how to close?

The zipper on my 2002 SL1's passenger's seat has broken open, and I cannot figure out how to zip it back up.

Is there a hidden zipper somewhere, or does the dealer have a special tool?

Thanks!

Re: 2002 Saturn SL1 - 1 year review

I agree. $675 in labor for a $10 part. But they already had my car torn apart in the shop - what else could I do?

The radiator and the trans. coolant lines are both new, but still leaking. Not...

2002 Saturn SL1 - 1 year review

I bought a 2002 Saturn SL1 from a local Chevy dealer in Lisle Illinois a year ago today. It had 117k on it when I bought it, and has 141k now. Cosmetically, I installed a new stereo and speakers and...

A/C Problems

I am looking to buy a 2003 L200. It's in perfect shape, except the A/C doesn't work. I've called several shops, and they say it would be $1300 for a new compressor. I have not actually looked at the...

'Confused' Transmission between 30 and 40 mph

I have noticed my 2002 SL1 does not like to drive on roads with speed limits of 30, 35, or 40 mph, especially if there are hills. It feels like it does not know what gear to be in and changes...

Re: Whats your MPG?

My 2002 SL1 consistently gets 37 mpg, though if I drive the 55 mph speed limit, I can get 40 out of it. Not bad for an automatic!

Re: 1998 Saturn and Marvel Mystery Oil...

I used Marvel Mystery Oil right before I changed it - I wouldn't run it for any length of time. It's way too thin to provide good lubrication for an extended period.

It's good for breaking up and...

Re: Headlight / DRL Problem

Took the car to Midas of Naperville - they've always done a good job for me - and they found a short on the main wiring harness. $150 and a few new wires and solders later, the car is good to go.

Re: SW Wagons

The guy has owned it for 6 months and is the second owner. Sounds like the first owner dumped it at the right time and this guy got suckered into buying it.
