Re: control arm noise

It's likely the strut mounts themselves. They can look fine and still be bad.

You've eliminated everything but that, as far as I can see.

Question did the a/c scroll valve fix - now VERY noisy?

Has anyone else experienced a marked increase in the noise level coming from the a/c compressor after the scroll valve fix? It fixed the 'no cold at idle' issue, but now it sounds like the damn thing...

Redline floor mats - like new

Like hein, I'm cleaning out the basement.

Found a set of like-new OEM Redline mats ('02-07) sitting down there. Used maybe three months - more like sat in the vehicle maybe three months - with...

Re: Finding an Antara Grille?

According to this, it'd probably work. As the Antara wasn't sold in the US, you'll need to look in Europe/UK.

The Opel Antara is a compact crossover SUV which was designed and produced by...

Re: Horn upgrade

What is this truly plug and play, or did you have to modify the plug at all?

Re: Horn upgrade

. Did GM change the plug on this horn? It is not plug and play with my 2007 VUE. The plug is 90 from what it is on the stock horn, locking tabs in the wrong place.

Re: Miserable fuel economy

fdryer: I had the front hoses replaced last summer as part of the "WTF is wrong with my VUE tour."

I'm likely next door - I'm also RFD, -108 zip.

We have a Camry as well, 2.2 auto. Filled...

Re: Miserable fuel economy

Billy: No noise at all, no sign of malfunction. It was just at the Honda shop and I had him check everything rear-end and drive shaft related. Oil is current and have been using Honda-spec 0-20 for...

Miserable fuel economy

3.5, AWD. No mods.

I've gone from 21-22 in town and 25-27 highway to far, far lower. I can't get 300 miles to a tank on the open road, and I can literally watch my fuel gauge drop in town. I've...

Sad Once again, fuel economy suckage. Need help, please.

If you remember, I had the t-belt done for a second time back in June, and the milage jumped back up from 20-22 to 25-28 highway, as it was before the first "certified" Saturn service center screwed...

Re: Put some new wheels on the saturn today...

Interested in your LED swaps: where did you get them, what are the part numbers and how hard is it to get the shift quadrant out to do the swap?

Re: First post....

Welcome Togo. Congrats on the purchase of a fun little SUV.

I'll second what lord varon said: do the trans drain/fill as soon as possible, as you don't know the maintenance history. And since it...

Re: Odometer

Should be same instructions and p/n, as there was little difference in RL/non-RL other than bumper fascia, seats and incidental bits exclusive to RLs.

The only real difference in the IPC that I've...

Re: Tranny fluid dipstick

Guess so. I looked at the owner's manual and could find no reference to a dipstick except on the 3.5 models. Was going to look into it further but I had a busy day planned and couldn't get back to...

Re: Makes me sad

You got that right.

We had a late-80's box-body Dodge Caravan (something) with a V6 in the mailroom fleet at a job I used to have back in the 90s. I was in charge of the motor pool (on top of...

Re: Loud rattle in rear end

Just out of curiosity: shake your exhaust system and see if the noise is present.

Just a hunch.

I've had three Chrysler products, and will never have another, new or used. Every one of them was absolute crap that I couldn't wait to get rid of. Two were built in the Belvidere plant. 100% failure...

Re: 200K Mile Preventative Maintenance
