1) push the connector in a little, then try to push the white...

Re: Mystery oil leak on passenger side of engine area.

I think the hose to the air cleaner is the air supply for the crankcase. Crankcase air is sucked through the orifice and into the intake. However, if the orifice is plugged / restricted, OR, if...

Re: 05 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed Clutch Goes To Floor

278k. I'm impressed. I'd also say your probably near the end..

New clutch and slave is a reasonably easy job to do. If you decide to tackle it, I'd also recommend doing a timing chain.

Re: 05 Vue 2.2L 5 Speed Clutch Goes To Floor

The DRAIN and FILL LEVEL plugs are on the side. You can get to them from the drivers side wheel well.

You can fill it from the top, but remove the fill level plug, when fluid starts coming out...

Re: CVT trouble leads to Vue not starting

I suspect you have bent valves.

Don't spend any money on this car until you know what the status of the valves are.

Remove the timing chain and both cams (intake and exhaust) This will close...

Re: CVT trouble leads to Vue not starting

Two separate and unrelated problems. Highly coincidental, maybe.. but rare..

2002 and 2003 were known for two items;

1) broken / jumped timing chains

2) CVT transmissions fail

It was a...
