Re: Pull A Part = 0 L-series!

the junk yard i go to in Fort Worth regularly has about a dozen L's. I've made several trips in the last few months and out of the 12, only one was a complete car. The rest had all been stripped of...

Re: Spray paint removal

As...

Re: Rear Saturn Emblem Replacement?

It's not broken or anything, I'd say just go get a bottle of red touchup paint from somewhere like Autozone or walmart and a fine brush and paint it back in.

Cheaper than a new one and probably...

Re: Windshild wiper switch failure

It may be hard to see in the pictures (and man i didn't realize they would be so big) that the contact slider that crooked in the 4th picture was pitted as noted. Also the burned contacts in the 3rd...

Re: Cooling fans coming on early

I swapped installed a new T-stat in the car last week and that seems to have solved the problem.

During normal driving, the temp gauge still hovers around the halfway point but the fans are no...

Re: coolant sensor

Well i hit the junkyard today, they had about 12 L's. Out of those 12 L's only 3 had coolant bottles. Out of those 3, 2 of them had the level floats cracked in half and laying in the bottom of the...

Re: 2001 LW300 cheap?

For only a $300 trade in your better off just keeping it your self as an emergency back up car or a beater for one of your kids (if theay are close to driving age).

Re: coolant sensor

,

Pretty much doubt it. The level sensor worked fine before the T-stat and i didn't even come close to it during the work except to refill.

Wife's been driving around and it appears to be...

Re: 01 L300 Service Wrench Light and Hard Shifting

The wrench light codes can not be read by a regular ODB reader. Not sure if anyone outside of GM can read them for you.

There are lots of threads on here about the hard shifting issues. Usually...

Re: Cooling fans coming on early

Hmmmm, the car doesn't have a HVAC temp display, it's all mechanical.

Reading that page excerpt you posted it mentions that the fans are activated by temp and/or AC compressor pressure. I wonder...

Re: Random bogging on at Low/Mid RPM

Well i've given up.
The drive to work today was rough, lots of pulsing and hesitation/bogging. The drive home resulted in the SES light coming on about halfway with much the same codes as...

Re: Random bogging on at Low/Mid RPM

Yes it does get warm here in Texas and looking at the battery i'm surprised it's lasted this long.
Not sure about the brand, it came with the car. It's got a Walmart sticker and is dated 7/09 so...

Voltages...

Re: Random bogging on at Low/Mid RPM

Re: Random bogging on at Low/Mid RPM

Well i just got home from driving it to work (60 mile round trip). The stumble/bog is still there but way less heart stopping with attempted stalls.

The downside is that about 5 miles from the...
