Re: TAAT parts

Thanks for the tips! One other question, does first design or third design make a difference for this 2002 car?

TAAT parts

Daughters car [2002 SL1] is throwing a P0741. I won't get to troubleshoot it for a couple of weeks. It's in another state. In anticipation I'm trying to find sources for the solenoids & cover gasket...

Re: 95 SW2 Timing Chain & System Questions

It's not the chain so move on. There is another problem preventing it from starting. Time to verify spark and fuel delivery along with a compression test. The results of these tests properly carried...

Re: what happened?

Should have checked for spark before changing out parts needlessly. It may be low on oil but that won't fix it now. Go with the compression test as previously advised to confirm or rule out possible...

Re: Valvoline Maxlife full syn. Or conventional

Don't take offense It's just my sense of humor. Spell Valvoline 10 times and I'll tell you what I use.
Kidding aside here's my take on this. You seem awfully stressed over this. There is really no...

Re: Gas in my oil 96 saturn sc2 series

Leaking fuel injector still needs to be either confirmed or eliminated.

Re: Summer Project:1.9 Engine Rebuild

Read as much as you can before starting with the purpose of knowing what you are equipped to do and what you're going to have to hand off for a machine shop to do for you. Do you own mics, calipers...

Re: Coolant leak how serious?

Orange or red is the first item to sort out. What color is the coolant in your reservoir? Have a closer look. If you have a transmission line leaking snugging it up with a 1/2" flare-nut wrench may...

Re: Gas in my oil 96 saturn sc2 series

Well being a fuel injected car you have no "carbourator" nor any of the parts associated with one. A leaking fuel injector would be my first internet guess. Others here will tell you where to find...

Re: Fuel pump relay clicks on/off during cranking, no start

If you are suspecting the fuel pump a good test would be the fuel pump pressure with a gauge set borrowed from AutoZone. This will confirm that the relay is disconnecting during cranking. Pressure...

Re: Mechanic Cannot Solve Problem

I'm betting he has a couple of spark plug wires swapped. Easy to check if you follow the previously given advice. If that does turn out to be the case all you really need is a new mechanic.

Re: Flushing my tranny with mobil 1 and other questions.

"I checked atf levels in my manual tranny, the fluid was that cherry red color, and full to the proper level."
I'm a bit confused. Do you have an automatic or manual transmission?

Re: Intermittent P0301

You did good in inspecting the plugs and swapping the coils. You don't say but did you do anything with the wires? That would be my next step before getting involved with the fuel / intake system.
