I have a high pitched constant squealing in my head.

The doc says it's tinnitus.

From all those years of machine shop noise.

Rust is enemy #1. Flood damage. #2.

Ultimately - any drive train problem is fixable - if not expensive.

A rotted out underbody? Not...

If GM really wanted to offer something different - they could re-...

Re: FOUND!!! Comprehensive Saturn S-Series Service Manuals in PDF!

About a year after I got my first Saturn - 95 SC2 - I also picked up a dealers service manual. It' s a hefty 3 volume set - and has way more detailed info in it than any other I've ever seen. A bit...

Re: Dillemma

My first one is the 95 SC2 manual.

I doubt I will ever get rid of it.

But - I' m actually getting to liking 97s and 98s the best.

My advice - buy it - and every one you can afford...

Re: How to move the seat back farther

Ever seen " Police Academy "??

The character Hightower (Bubba Smith) needs to learn to drive - so he and fellow students purloin a student's Honda Civic... Hightower is almost 7 feet tall.

Re: Very quick EGR valve question

Saturn Night has it right.

94 was the last vacuum actuated.

I have had 3 94s, and still have my 95.

Quite certain on it.

Re: 96 SL2 bouncing real hard

One of three things come to mind.

Multiple broken motor mounts.

Broken or missing strut bolts.

Demonic possession.

Re: Car prep after sitting a year or so?

I prefer squirting a bit of Dextron II into the cylinders.

I' ve had good luck with it freeing up rings.

But gawd -the smell when it starts....

Do NOT do it indoors.

My opinion -

Re: Wheels 1 - Wire brush on alloy rims..

It will make a big difference if you clean up the inside of the wheel. I have had shops complain that the glue won't stick on a dirty surface - I guess they don't get paid enough to clean a spot..

If you have someone else work on your stuff, it's a good idea to double check what you can.

" professionals" make mistakes too.
